Nothing says “welcome to the neighborhood” quite like being ambushed by your new neighbors as you’re carrying your heavy belongings up flights of stairs. Luckily for one Colorado man, he packed more than just his pots and pans.
Late Saturday night, three white guys moving into an apartment in the seedy Denver suburb of Aurora were robbed by three black men in the foyer of the building. Stuck in the small 10 ft by 6 ft corridor, two of the victims started handing over their cash to the thugs described to be between the ages of 16 to 20. But the third mover reached into his pocket to pull out something better — his loaded firearm.
He fired off several rounds at all three thieves, hitting each one. One hoodrat ran away, with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, and checked himself into a nearby hospital. In the meantime, emergency responders arrived on the scene to pick up the other injured suspects, but one died en route. The third is considered to be in serious condition but is expected to make a full recovery. The male that took himself to the hospital was later arrested on unrelated charges.
The gun owner’s firearm was taken into police possession, as a standard practice in investigation, but the mover is not expected to face any charges. In fact, Arapahoe County District Attorney George Brauchler called what the man did a common sense approach in a robbery situation, and he’s right.
“I don’t think we would call this necessarily a make-my-day issue,” Brauchler said in a press conference. “This is straight up, regular, common sense and statutorily codified self-defense.”
The best way to start stopping crime that has grown out of control is by giving power to the people. Criminals aren’t getting the idea that stealing, murdering, and raping are wrong because of the passive approach our judicial system takes, doing more for the criminal than it does the victims.
Honest people, who just want to live their lives and pursue happiness, have to put up with these scum and are growing tired of the nonsense. It’s time for an eye for an eye. Enough lawful instant justice will send a clear message that crime isn’t worth the cost. If they want something, earn it, don’t take it from others who worked hard to get it.
But wait for the race debate to percolate among liberals in Denver, who want to disarm citizens and make excuses for criminals. What they’ll see in this situation is a white on black crime and the African-Americans suffering the consequences of racism and lenient gun laws. Nevermind the fact that these thugs bum rushed the guys and they used their Second Amendment right as Americans to defend themselves. If they don’t want to be shot, don’t assault people for cash or commit any other kind of crime against innocent people.
