Customers at a Walgreens were recently horrified when a wig wearing thug attempted to rob the pharmacy at gunpoint. Now, the story has gone viral after the cross-dressing criminal got the shock of his life because he didn’t see who was behind him until it was too late.
According to local new source KVOA, the shocking armed robbery attempt took place on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, just after 7 p.m. at a Walgreens Pharmacy in Phoenix, Arizona. Police say the suspect was wearing a wig when he jumped the pharmacy counter and threatened the employees and other customers at gunpoint, demanding Oxycontin.
Too bad for this robber, his little crime spree was about to go up in smoke as he realized who was behind him way too late — a good guy with a gun and a healthy dislike for thieving thugs.
According to ABC15, a witness named Peter Thomas who was interviewed said, “He says, ‘Get the hell out of the way,’ and as I looked to my left, he’s jumping over the counter and he’s got a gun. And he says, ‘okay, everybody on the floor,'” Thomas added, “As I was running out, I heard a pop.” That pop Thomas heard was the good guy with a gun, sending the thug to meet his maker, and rightfully so.
According to police, the good Samaritan who shot the armed robber remained at the scene and helped investigators piece together what took place. As for the thug who has not yet been identified by police, lifesaving efforts were made to prevent his death but to no avail. Officers say that approximately a dozen customers were inside the Walgreens Pharmacy when the shooting took place.
Sgt. Jonathan Howard with Phoenix Police Department explained, “Based on what the witnesses are telling us, you know, people have a right to defend themselves and defend others, especially when we’re talking about serious physical injury or death, and at this point, it seems to be the case of a good Samaritan in the right place at the right time.”
In the state of Arizona, deadly force can be used to defend yourself or others when someone is threatening your own or someone else’s life. This thug thought he was going to point his gun in innocent people’s faces and get away with his crime. Instead, it turned out to be the last time he would try to harm anyone, thanks to the good guy with the gun.
The 2nd Amendment saved the day in the Arizona desert where innocent store employees or customers could have easily lost their lives had it not been for a law-abiding citizen with a gun and a healthy dislike for criminal bullies. Of course, it will just be a matter of time until the mainstream media treats the deceased thug like a victim or his family goes on a local talk show to voice their anger against concealed carry policies, but we all know the truth. The dead man chose his path, and he reaped the consequences.
