This is all part of Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s rush job to get impeachment done before Christmas. Well, Rep. Matt Gaetz utterly destroyed Nadler and his cohorts by making a mockery out of their so-called “articles of impeachment.” You’ll love this.
The Democrats are rushing against the clock to get impeachment done before the Christmas break — so much for justice or dedicating themselves to find out all the facts. Pelosi is rushing this entire process knowing it’s become the proverbial monkey on the Democrats’ back.
Chairman Nadler only held two impeachment hearings with no fact witnesses thus far. This morning, Nadler is moving his committee to an impeachment vote after the debate. That’s it. Talk about a total rush job. This brings to mind Nancy Pelosi ramming Obamacare through in the same manner right before the Christmas break.
Who can forget Pelosi’s infamous statement? “We have to pass the bill,” she said, “so that you can find out what is in it.”
The Democrats on the Judiciary Committee have spent their time in this morning’s debate going over crazy conspiracy theories as it relates to President Donald Trump’s Ukraine phone call. During this debate, the Democrats have claimed Trump committed all kinds of crimes including bribery, extortion, and obstruction of justice.
But the Democrats have one big problem, and that’s what Matt Gaetz makes very clear.
“This debate just lacks a certain sincerity,” Gaetz said. “My colleague from California, Mr. Swalwell lists out all these crimes. If I’m sitting at home watching this I’m wondering where are they in the impeachment? This is a Democrat ‘driveby’…to go and list crimes you don’t allege in the articles and you don’t have evidence for.”
Here, Gaetz is making a huge point. The Democrats’ “articles of impeachment” are so weak they list no real crimes. Richard Nixon was charged with “obstruction of justice,” a real crime. Bill Clinton was charged with “tampering with witnesses” and “perjury,” both real crimes.
President Trump is not charged with any real crime. The Democrats brought two very weak and vague articles of impeachment against President Trump: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
This would mark the first time in history a president is impeached without being charged with a real crime. Regardless of all the talk of bribery and obstruction of justice, the Democrats did not include those crimes in their articles of impeachment. Why? They knew they could not prove Trump committed any crime, it’s that simple.
Rep. Gaetz hammers this point home.
‘The [Democrats] are naming crimes in their debate they don’t even have in their impeachment resolution because they can’t prove them— because there are no underlying facts,” Gaetz said. “Then, I hear Mr. Jefferies bring up Russia. How is it we’re debating about javelins that President Trump delivered that President Obama withheld?”
“I hear them crying their alligator tears clutching their pearls over this notion that ‘Trump didn’t give this aid, we gotta go impeachment him over it.’ Where was all this concern that we gotta go make the Ukraine great again when Obama was president?”

Later in the hearing, Matt Gaetz once again blasts the Democrats’ “abuse of power” charge.
“An essential part of the Democrats case is the Bidens did nothing wrong. It’s only an abuse of power, and not a correct use of power— if the Bidens did nothing wrong,” Gaetz declared. He goes on to say the Democrats have denied the Republicans a chance to hold their own hearing with their own witnesses to prove President Trump’s concerns about the 2016 election interference in Ukraine are valid and his concerns about the Bidens corrupt actions with Burisma are also valid.
The Democrats have made the assumption, without any evidence, that Trump was trying to get Ukraine to interfere with the 2020 election. That is central to their impeachment narrative. However, there is zero evidence to support that claim.
The truth is President Trump is very concerned about the fake Russia “hacked our Democracy” charges that stem from the 2016 election. All roads lead back to Ukraine, as the Democrat National Committee’s cybersecurity firm, CrowdStrike, is owned by Ukrainian Dmitri Alperovitch.
Trump mentions “CrowdStrike” in that July 25 phone call with President Zelensky. James Comey testified under oath in March 2017 that the FBI relied solely upon CrowdStrike’s findings as the DNC never allowed any law enforcement agency to examine their servers.
“I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say CrowdStrike… I guess you have one of your wealthy people… The server, they say Ukraine has it,” Trump says to Zelensky.
CrowdStrike CEO Dmitri Alperovitch’s statements in the June 2016 Washington Post article says there’s no “hard evidence” of how the DNC hack occurred and that Fancy Bear [so-called hackers] is “believed to work” for GRU [Russian Intelliegnce].
This is a huge deal, and the Democrats know it. The last thing the Democrats want is for President Trump to prove that this entire Russian hoax started with the DNC and that Hillary Clinton along with the Obama administration colluded to frame Trump as “Kremlin’s puppet.”
Hillary Clinton started the false narrative about Trump and Russia one week before the 2016 election by tweeting out several times that Trump had ties to Vladimir Putin: “With just 8 days left, this can’t wait. President Trump has been on a mission to clear his name and make sure those who framed him are brought to justice. This accusation that the president was looking for help from Ukraine to get re-elected, just doesn’t add up.
He has every right to ask the Ukraine President to look into the Bidens corruption and to seek information that will once and for all prove it was Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama’s administration who created the false Russian narrative and who spread that lie to the American people.
President Trump is seeking justice. That lie has divided this country and cost us millions of dollars. Let’s pray the truth comes out so we can heal this nation.
