A family in San Diego, California, was shocked when a transient thug broke into their home through the back door after being told to get off their property. Now, this thug is paying the price for not taking no for an answer after the fed-up dad in the home gave him a brutal surprise, and rightfully so.

According to local news source Fox5, the shocking home invasion attempt took place on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, at approximately 1:30 a.m. The couple who lives in the home, along with their two teenage daughters, was awakened by the sound of someone’s voice at their gate. The father quickly went out to investigate and found a 28-year-old transient who claimed that he was waiting for a taxi and wanted to wait inside the man’s home.

Moments after the homeowner told the man to get off his property and went back inside, the family was shocked as the thug broke down the back door. This is when things took a brutal turn for the thug.

According to local news source NBC7, the homeowner fired several shots at the intruder with a small caliber rifle when the man came crashing through the back door. Police say the suspect was hit multiple times before running into the master bedroom of the home to escape the gunfire. A short time later, police arrived to find the suspect still barricaded in the bedroom.

The couple’s two teenage daughters were inside the home at the time of the incident in a different bedroom, according to police. Before surrounding the master bedroom, deputies from San Diego County Sheriff’s department took the homeowner’s daughters out of the house to safety. Sgt. Minh Nguyen, who works for the Sheriff’s department, said that the suspect was then taken into custody without further incident. The 47-year-old homeowner and his family were unharmed, according to the San Diego Tribune.

The suspect was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment and was arrested on charges, including residential burglary, vandalism, and being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to deputies. The man reportedly had another unrelated arrest warrant according to police.

The homeowner’s property is in a rural area and surrounded by high barbed wire fences. It was clear that this family took their safety seriously as they raised children in the morally bankrupt environment of southern California. Thank God, they were prepared to enforce the sovereignty¬†of their home when evil darkened their doorstep or, rather, broke the door down completely.

Where would this family be if the father in the home was not armed and ready to shoot to protect his wife and daughters? It’s likely, they could be dead or in the hospital since police said the suspect was under the influence of drugs when he was taken into custody and there is no telling what he would have done to the family in his altered state if the homeowner hadn’t put several bullets in him. This punk got exactly what he deserved, and I could not praise this homeowner enough for being ready with a gun to protect his wife and daughters.
