Liberal filmmaker and writer Kate Imbach decided to embark on a creative study of First Lady Melania Trump. Now, she is publicly proclaiming the shocking secrets that she found hidden in Melania’s photos.
As reported by Inquisitr, Imbach launched a lengthy study of Mrs. Trump’s character by scrutinizing 470 photos she shared between June of 2012 and June of 2015. Imbach’s bias is made apparent from the beginning, as she opens her original article, titled Fairytale Prisoner by Choice: The Photographic Eye of Melania Trump, by saying, “Why won’t the first lady show up for her job? Why? I became obsessed with this question and eventually looked to Melania’s Twitter history for answers. I noticed that in the three-year period between June 3, 2012 and June 11, 2015 she tweeted 470 photos which she appeared to have taken herself. I examined these photographs as though they were a body of work.”
As soon as I read Imbach’s words, I knew that she was cooking up a hit piece on the First Lady, and likely her husband, President Donald Trump, too. As the article continued, the liberal analysis of Mrs. Trump’s incredible photos proved me right.
Before sharing details of any photos, Imbach states that Mrs. Trump is “media-trained, controlled and cloistered, her collection of Twitter photography provides an otherwise unavailable view into the reality of her existence.” She adds, “Nowhere else — certainly not in interviews or public appearances — is her guard so far down. What is that reality? She is Rapunzel with no prince and no hair, locked in a tower of her own volition, and delighted with the predictability and repetition of her own captivity.”
That is heavy commentary over a collection of photos on social media as if Imbach believes she’s some kind of psychic or mind-reader. She goes on to analyze the specifics of the images.
Of the above photo from July of 2014, Imbach says that it is the only example of President and Mrs. Trump together. In it, Mrs. Trump’s face is in shadow and cropped out while he dominates the frame. Imbach claims that this depicts the wife’s placement in the world.
This sounds a bit like liberal feminist whining to me, but the narrative gets worse. When describing group photos of Donald, Melania, and their son Barron, Imbach says, “Boys in front, girls in the back, the same arrangement we were all so appalled to see on inauguration day, is her norm. She lives in the background.”
Her explanation is starting to sound silly, isn’t it? Here is an example of a photo that she is referencing:
How exactly, does Mrs. Trump view the world outside of her immediate family? According to Imbach, “If Melania sees her family from behind, she sees the rest of the world from above… Darker still is that she’s in there today, looking down at the rest of us, from her home in Trump Tower, like a queen.”
Imbach goes on to say that Mrs. Trump’s photo of a hermit crab is really a photo of the First Lady herself, who is in hiding. Please, give me a break. The commentary of Imbach is hard to bear, but at least the photography is nice.
Of Mrs. Trump’s selfies, Imbach launches another zinger, saying, “In selfies where she’s not blown out or disguised, she crops herself into disfigurement. What a paradox! She is a former model, a public figure, ‘an extremely famous and well-known person,’ a woman exposed, and she can only bear to share selfies which portray her as a set of disassembled parts. She hides, in other words, even when she is presenting herself.”
The commentary goes on all day, and I could as well, but I am certain that you have gotten the point by now. Imbach wants to bash all things Trump, and an amateur psychological analysis of Melania Trump’s Twitter feed is the best she can do. Nice try, Ms. Imbach. At least the pictures you have been scrutinizing are nice.
