A Florida man is behind bars after cops were alerted to the sick thing that he drew on his stepson’s homework. When you see the disturbing image, you’ll agree that some people just shouldn’t be around kids — or allowed to walk among civilized society, for that matter.
According to The New York Post, 33-year-old Robert Paul Alexander Edwards was arrested by police in Mexico Beach, Florida, on Friday, December 1, 2017, after he allegedly drew a “disturbing” picture on his stepson’s homework. After seeing the picture he drew on the kid’s homework, I’m seriously wondering why this guy isn’t locked away in some mental health facility.
Edwards reportedly drew a picture depicting a mass shooting with a school on fire, blood on the ground, and dead people. Mexico Beach Police have charged Edwards with writing threats to kill or do bodily injury. Edwards’ stepson apparently showed up to school with the “artwork” on his homework assignment, and when a staffer at Port St. Joe Elementary School noticed it, the police were immediately alerted.
According to the Gulf County Sheriff’s Office, Edwards’ drawing of a burning building and several people being shot was quite disturbing. Seriously, what kind of idiot would draw something like that in the first place but then think that it would be a great idea to put it on their kid’s homework assignment? This guy clearly has a few screws loose in his head. Then again, all of his face tattoos kind of hinted towards that already.
Sheriff Mike Harrison released a statement on Friday, saying, “The image included two people on the ground in what appeared to be a pool of blood.” The psychotic stepfather didn’t stop at drawing the disturbing image on his kid’s homework. Harrison also pointed out that he wrote the words, “Pew, Pew, Pew,” next to the person with the gun in the picture.
Investigators from the Gulf County Sheriff’s Office later concluded that Edwards did indeed draw the disturbing image but that he probably didn’t have any plans to carry out what they considered to be a threat. “Our country has been affected one too many times with horrific school tragedies,” Harrison said. “We take matters like this very seriously.” As they should! Edwards is clearly crazier than a bag of cats, and it’s a good thing the Sheriff’s department decided to take him into custody.
Although Harrison did not reveal Edwards’ relationship to the student on whose homework he drew, the Port St. Joe Star reported that he is the child’s stepfather. Edwards was arrested and jailed Friday and quickly placed on $150,000 bail. Authorities took the sickening drawing so seriously that they charged Edwards with a second-degree felony.
In a statement to local news station WJHG, Port St. Joe Elementary School officials said that an investigation was launched after the drawing was determined to be a “potential threat.” The school’s superintendent Jim Norton said, “This action was perceived as a potential threat and immediate action was the only recourse. These matters will never be taken lightly and they may not be simply considered erring on the side of caution.”
I think Edwards needs to spend some time in prison and remain under the supervision of a psychiatrist for the rest of his life. This guy clearly isn’t a normal person and something is wrong with his ability to make good decisions. The mother of the child in this situation may want to seriously consider dumping this degenerate after this. Edwards behavior is good proof that you can’t fix stupid. He definitely got what he deserved for drawing such a disturbing image on his stepson’s homework.
