After bringing about death and destruction, members of the violent terrorist group ISIS were recently met with a swift dose of karma. Fighters near an Iraqi farmland soon realized what goes around comes around as they faced off with their own worst nightmare, and to say it was fitting is putting it mildly.
The golden rule says that one should treat others as they wish to be treated, but that’s not something we think of when we discuss ISIS. However, after recent events, it appears that whether you believe it or not, eventually, karma will even things out.
A few ISIS fighters learned this the hard way when they met with death on Sunday. Three militant Islamic terrorists were killed in the southern region of Kirkuk by rampaging beasts, and the entire incident can only be described as Islamic terrorists reaping what they have sown.
ISIS has taken control of the areas in southern Kirkuk, where thousands of civilians have had to flee from persecution, violence, torture, and death. Thuggish militants have even executed some of the remaining civilians in the area over accusations of collaborations with security forces. Other civilians have even been killed for attempting to flee the province to refugee camps.
However, karma recently evened the score a bit. As three Islamic State militants were setting up an ambush in a bitterly contested area of northern Iraq, they were attacked — but it wasn’t by the civilians who they have terrorized. They were killed by stampeding wild boars.
According to Mirror, the wild pigs charged the Islamic State fighters, going on a rampage and taking out three murderers. The very animal Islam forbids its followers to eat or come in contact with was responsible for goring Islamic extremists to death. USA Today reported that the wild boars actually attacked and overran the Islamic state. They probably fled screaming like little girls at the sight of the beasts, only to be ambushed by the boars themselves.
Sheikh Anwar al-Assi, a chief of the local Ubaid tribe and supervisor of anti-ISIS forces, told The Times of London that the militants were hiding on the edge of a field about 50 miles southwest of Kirkuk when the boars overwhelmed them Sunday. Five other militants were injured in the rampage of pigs, al-Assi said. He said the militant group was poised to attack a band of local tribesmen who had fled to nearby mountains since militants seized the town of Hawija three years ago. “It is likely their movement disturbed a herd of wild pigs, which inhabit the area as well as the nearby cornfields,” he said.
Religious zealots were killed while trying to kill others by the one animal that they abhor above all others. There is no way for one to miss the irony in this. These homicidal maniacs were met with the justice they deserved, facing their own worst nightmare as “Squeal Team 6” killed three Islamic terrorists. Fate, it seems, is not without a sense of irony.
