Janet Jackson is living in fear as her estranged husband, Wissam Al Mana, has been toying with her in what is shaping up to be a very volatile situation. Jackson, 50, gave birth to her son on January 3rd, and last week, we learned she left Al Mana after 5 years of abuse, except she couldn’t go far due to a potential embittered custody battle. Al Mana just sent her a sick surprise, leaving poor Janet terrified.
Al Mana insisted they live in London, far from Janet’s native Los Angeles and her family and friends, but that wasn’t the only big change for the star. She stopped wearing her signature thigh-high boots and tight fitting tops while performing. Everything about her changed, and her fans were sorely disappointed.
Page Six reports, “’She thought he had become too controlling during the pregnancy and she had already allowed him to dictate her appearance and even the way she performed at concerts,’ said the source, who works closely with the couple.”
It all came to a head when her mother Katherine Jackson went to visit Janet and her grandson Eissa in London in February. Al Mana was allegedly cruel to Katherine, and this woke Janet up, making her realize that this man was just purely evil to all women.
Daily Mail reports, “Janet, who’s always been extremely close to her mother, was juggling the demands of a newborn with comforting Katherine, but Wissam is said to have shown a callous lack of interest in his mother-in-law’s plight.” That’s when Janet got out with the help of her mom, but she has to stay in London for the custody battle, and that’s when something scary happened over the weekend.
Al Mana left a cryptic Islamic message for Janet on his website. He changed his main page to a lone Quranic verse, and it’s all pointing to Janet:
“You shall most certainly be tried in your possessions and in your persons; and indeed you shall hear many hurtful things from those to whom revelation was granted before your time, as well as from those who have come to ascribe divinity to other beings beside Allah. But if you remain patient in adversity and conscious of Him – this, behold, is something to set one’s heart upon. – 3:186” [via Wissam Al Mana]
But, that’s not all. This verse talks about “those who have come to ascribe divinity to other beings beside Allah,” a clear reference to “infidels.” According to Sharia law, Janet has no rights to her son as she is an unbeliever and “infidel.” Major media outlets also agree this message was for Janet, along with another message on his website that just popped up, accompanied with a picture of Jackson:
“To the most beautiful person in the world, thank you for
your divine love, your eternal support and for being my
best friend. I love you so much, inshallah
we will be together in the Great Forever x” [via Wissam Al Mana]
Al Mana is sending mixed signals here, but if you consider who he is and his abuse during the marriage, it’s clear he only wants her back if she will submit to Islam. If that doesn’t happen, which it won’t, then his message to her is that verse from the Quran; he sees himself as in total control.
Janet is not under Sharia law, thank God, but she is in London and her husband does have rights to see his son. The huge problem for Janet is that Al Mana could get their son for a visit, then leave the country on one of his private jets and go to Qatar. She’d never see her son again unless Al Mana allowed it.
While some see Janet as a victim and others say she should have known better, one thing is clear — her son doesn’t deserve the issues his father is now bringing down on Janet. She was blind and foolish, going into this relationship and having a baby with a Muslim who adheres to strict Sharia law, and now, she’s learning a hard lesson. She’s stuck in London and is at the mercy of a billionaire who abused her and now wants her son at any cost.
