Liberal ideology is really getting out of hand these days as people are almost going out of their way to claim they’ve been offended. Most recently, a group of atheists got together to say that the Ground Zero Cross, consisting of the steel I-beams still standing after the WTC collapsed, was offensive.
Too bad for them, the judge said, “prove it.”
The Ground Zero Cross has become not only a symbol of American hope, but an icon representative of that dark and dreadful day. We, as a nation, pulled together to help one another, and if you can remember back then, temporarily restored our nation’s faith in God.
Now that the metaphorical dust has settled though, the cross has been added to the 9/11 National Memorial Museum and boy does it have Liberal panties in a wad. According to Bizpac Review, “The atheist group (American Atheists Group) sued in 2011, claiming the symbol caused its constituents anxiety, depression, ‘mental pain and anguish’ and indigestion.”
After being thrown out for its ludicrous nature back in 2013, the American Atheists Group had a second go at the cross, but yet again, were unable to succeed. According to the ruling, the judge explained that their claims were unsubstantiated and there was little to no proof that any Constitutional rights had been violated.
Attorney Eric Baxter praised the result and explained the ridiculousness of the suit saying, “Courts should not allow people to sue just because they claim to get ‘dyspepsia’ over a historical artifact displayed in a museum.”
Nowhere in the Constitution does it mention anyone’s right not be offended. It does however say that we have a right to practice our religion however we see fit – so long as it falls within the confines of the law – free from persecution. What do you guys think – is it really that hard for these Liberal turds to just leave well enough alone and ignore it if they don’t like it?
