Pelosi Blocks Trump’s Entry For SOTU, Gets Destroyed By Member Of Her Own Party

Over the weekend, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) took petty partisan politics to a whole new level, ordering the House of Representatives’ sergeant-at-arms to block White House personnel from entering the House Chamber in order to make the necessary preparations for President Donald Trump’s State of the Union Address. Now, she’s gotten exactly what she deserves after being destroyed by a member of her own political party.

Perhaps looking to get back at President Donald Trump for canceling her taxpayer-funded flights until after the partial government shutdown has ended, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) blocked White House personnel from entering the House Chamber over the weekend.

The White House says it is forging ahead with plans for President Donald Trump to deliver his State of the Union address at the Capitol next week, even as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi appears entrenched in her request for Trump to postpone the speech until the government reopens.

Over the holiday weekend, the White House asked for — but was denied — a walk-through by the House of Representatives’ sergeant-at-arms in preparation of the speech. Still, on Tuesday a senior White House official said the administration is “moving forward” with plans for the speech at the US Capitol.

Not all of the Democrats are acting as petty as Pelosi, though. In fact, it appears that other prominent members of the party are downright fed-up with her antics, which have forced essential government employees to work even though they are not receiving a paycheck.

When Fox News’ Neil Cavuto asked House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer if he’d be open to allowing Trump to address Congress, Hoyer said he would be willing to allow the president to give his State of the Union Address on the House floor.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer said he would be willing to allow President Donald Trump to give his State of the Union address on the House floor, breaking with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

“Sure,” Hoyer responded. [Source: The Daily Caller]

Not only this, but Hoyer also admitted that a physical barrier along the porous U.S.-Mexico border is a necessary component to solving our immigration issues. Specifically, Hoyer said that “physical barriers are a part of the solution.” This, of course, is in direct contrast to his party’s narrative that barriers are somehow “immoral.”

According to Hoyer, walls are not immoral if they are used to protect people:

Imagine that! A Democrat in DC with some common sense!

If the Democrats were really interested in reopening the government, extending an olive branch and welcoming the president’s State of the Union speech would be a good place to start. But, it has become abundantly clear that Pelosi does not care how long government employees go without a paycheck. She only cares about obstructing Trump’s agenda.

Sad, isn’t it, that our own Speaker hates the president more than she loves the country? In the end, she will be the one to suffer. Trump is the master negotiator — he will get his wall come hell or high water. Pelosi, on the other hand, will find it very difficult to get re-elected after this debacle. The American people aren’t stupid. We can see her true motivations.
