Barack Obama has been as smug as can be during the months leading up to and following the election. Unfortunately for him, he’s most recently received what’s been coming to him for quite some time as Donald Trump gave him a going away surprise that he’ll never forget — and it’s delightfully nasty.
Obama has proven he’s had one thing in mind the entire time he’s in office — himself, specifically his legacy. However, seeing how he hasn’t done all that much, there’s only one thing that he will be remembered for – Obamacare.
As we all know, the program is a disaster that won’t be fondly remembered by most Americans since he basically shoved the policy down our throats, despite deafening objections. Too bad for him, he may not even get to keep that in the history books as Donald Trump is set to kill his dear legacy once and for all.
“In 10 days, Donald Trump will be named President of the United States,” The Gateway Pundit reports. “By the time he is sworn in as President, he wants Republicans to have repealed Obamacare.”
President-elect Donald J. Trump pressed Republicans on Tuesday to move forward with the immediate repeal of the Affordable Care Act and to replace it very quickly thereafter, saying, “We have to get to business. Obamacare has been a catastrophic event.”…
…Mr. Trump, who seemed unclear about the timing of already scheduled votes in Congress this week, demanded a repeal vote “probably some time next week,” and said “the replace will be very quickly or simultaneously, very shortly thereafter.”… [Source: The New York Times]
Of course, we already know that House and Senate Democrats will put up a fight every step of the way as Donald Trump seeks to undo Barack Obama’s abysmal policy in just a few short weeks.
Fortunately, Trump has proven himself to be a man who doesn’t give up easily and most certainly doesn’t take “no” for an answer when it comes to what the American people want. It’ll be nice to have a man in this country willing to do what’s best for the American people and has the skills to accomplish such a feat. By the time Trump’s done, Obama will only be known for one thing — the color of his skin as the first black president. Seeing how that’s nothing he can control, well, it’s not exactly something to boast about, now is it?
