Saggy-Pants Thugs Begin To Loot As Hurricane Hits, Didn’t See Who Was Watching

While most Americans are unifying in this devastating time of need, some are taking advantage of the tragedy. A shocking video has just started going viral after a group of nine saggy-pants thugs broke through a window of a sportswear store in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, stealing as many boxes of shoes as they could get their greedy hands on, but there was just one problem. The looters didn’t see who was right behind them, leaving the thugs with their saggy-pants around their knees.

Only the worst people in our country would try to benefit themselves during a tragedy. A group of looters smashed through a window of Simon’s Sportswear in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as Hurricane Irma started to kick up. The nine thugs began taking loads of shoe boxes from inside the store, running them around the corner into their cars. Local 10 reported seeing the group of looters break through the front window, walk in, and then walk out with the stolen items. Apparently, the first things criminals think to do during a storm is to take a bunch of pairs of sneakers.

After getting away with what they wanted from Simon’s, they began looting a Foot Locker and Cash America Pawn store in Miami. What the looters forgot to do was look around for witnesses. A Local 10 news truck was just across the street while they stole more boxes of shoes, and unfortunately for the thieves, it was all caught on video.

As soon as police arrived, the thugs were caught trying to run away with their pants falling around their knees. Then, a couple of hours later, Fort Lauderdale PD announced that they had arrested the looters. They also made a statement ensuring the public and warning any looters that the criminals will face charges.

“Going to prison over a pair of sneakers is a fairly bad life choice,” Fort Lauderdale police Chief Rick Maglione said. “Stay home and look after your loved ones and be thankful they are all safe.”

The Broward Sheriff’s Office immediately reacted to Local 10’s report, tweeting “ATTENTION LOOTERS; Every incident will be investigated. Evidence collected will be used to pursue charges after the fact.” [Source: Local 10]

Although these areas did not see the worst of Hurricane Irma, they were still advised to evacuate, and the storm has caused massive damage and flooding, according to Blue Lives Matter. Instead of helping people evacuate, board up their homes, or repair damage, these scumbags are taking advantage of others by stealing. Police are fed-up with seeing all of the disgusting crimes and are taking all matters seriously, as they should. We can only hope now that there are substantial consequences, it will help deter theft.

With the threat of dangerous winds and heavy rain, the first thing these saggy-pants thugs thought to do was break the law by taking things that they didn’t earn. Anyone pathetic enough to take advantage during a disaster deserves whatever punishment is thrown their way. Luckily, they were caught and got the karma they earned. Those sneakers won’t do them any good in prison.
