The "Voluntary" Sharia Court In The US Appears To Be Run By The Unlicensed

It seems the Sharia Court, being called an “Islamic Tribunal,” in the most unlikely of states in the U.S. has taken an even more ironic twist. The “voluntary” court room, which openly admits it would have trump Constitutional law if the two conflict, is being run by four individuals that have ZERO licenses to practice law in the state of . All four members appear to be practicing “law” without a license and presenting themselves as lawyers, which is a very real third degree felony.

Muslims had succeeded in establishing this Islamic Sharia court inside the United States in one of the most unlikely of places. Not thirty miles from where individuals gathered to protest the silencing of Free Speech, being asked for by the “Stand With The Prophet” rally, is a town known as Irving, Texas. It seems that the home of the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas County is also playing host to the United State’s first ever Sharia law courtroom.

While it is disturbing enough that this farce of justice, which completely violates both the United States and the Texas Constitutions, is being played out in what the Islamic Tribunal states they hope will “set a precedence that will be emulated and duplicated throughout the country,” it seems to go much deeper. The head “judge,” Taher El-bawadi, openly admits that if State law conflicts with Sharia law, we follow Sharia law.” He also openly admitted to the press that men and women would have different rules if applying for a divorce to the Tribunal, one of the “religious civil matters” they want to preside over, strengthening discrimination against women.

Furthermore, their own website’s ‘about section’ openly admits this is one step between hanging homosexuals in the square and cutting the hands off of thieves because you can not separate Criminal Law from Civil Law under their theocratic legal system fairly:

Stoning adulterers, cutting of the hands, polyandry and the like (all can be traced in the relevant literature and can be explained in their Islamic legal mentality and rational context in fairness and justice), are mainly a part of Islamic Criminal Law. In fact criminal law within Islam only makes up a fraction of the Shari’ah. It is unscholarly and unfair to generalize that type of understanding, that is Criminal Law, to compromise the whole of Islamic law if we stick to speaking in technical terms. (Islamic Tribunal: About)

This development has taken an even more bizarre twist, begging the question as to why the authorities are allowing this farce to continue?

Breitbart Texas has learned that all four of these “lawyers,” who are wanting to preside over civil law claims as “judges,” have no license to practice law in the state of Texas. While you do not have to have a U.S. legal degree to get a license to practice law in Texas, you have to pass the license board and it is ILLEGAL to present yourself as practicing law without a license in the state. That includes BOTH civil and criminal law. A person putting themselves forward as a “lawyer” without being licensed to practice law could be guilty of a third degree felony.

When the Supreme Court of Texas’ Unlicensed Practice of Law Committee (TXUPLC) was questioned with this by Breitbart, they stated they had only three complaints on this issue, despite it violating the Texas legal system. When asked why they didn’t step in, considering the legal implications, the TXUPLC representative calmly explained they did not have any criminal authority. The TXULPC can take individuals to court and seek an injunction. They can also issue cease and desist actions. The representative said any criminal matters must be referred to the local district attorney’s office.

Breitbart also raised a question with the TXULPC about the attorneys claiming to be judges.

Munoz said that does not fall under the TXUPLC and referred this writer to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. Munoz stated that a person putting themselves forward as being an attorney who is not licensed to practice law could be guilty of a third degree felony. (Breitbart)

Yet, the Islamic Tribunal website claims that they must follow the laws of Texas.

“These proceedings must be conducted in accordance with the law of the land; local, state and federal within the United States,” the site continues. “Through effective mediation and arbitration, decisions can be made that are stipulated in the Shari’ah and adhering to the binding, ethical and legal code that exists within this country with the final approval of the relevant courts and judges.” (Islamic Tribunal)

The more things come out about this establishment of a theocratic “court” system that even Imams will admit is not compliant with US Constitutional Law, the more this is an abundantly apparent attempt at undermining the laws of the United States in hopes to establish a Muslim Sharia rule throughout the country, starting with Texas.

Then again, what did we expect when two of the “judges” were synonymous with the Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood backed Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)? Imam Yusuf Z. Kavakci, a “former” U.S. Security adviser for Obama, was previously known for giving a flowery tribute to the Ayatollah Khomeini and is one of the main developers of a group to train 200 Imams to spread Sharia law across the U.S. out of “the Islamic Village” he helped establish in Richardson, Texas. While Imam Moujahed Bakhach is a licensed Islamic attorney in Cairo, Egypt, (note: no legal licence in any state in the U.S.), he also happens to be a representative of “the Muslim Legal fund,” the same one the proceeds went to for the “Stand With the Prophet” rally to silence critics of Islam and those that wish to speak out against Sharia Law.
