When Muslim students began ditching classes every Friday for prayer at local mosques, their non-Muslim principal started to take notice. However, instead of preventing the privileged students from skipping school each week, he decided to offer them a disgusting surprise instead.
After 7 years at Liberty High School in Frisco, Texas, Principal Scott Warstler has caved to demanding Muslim students, using the taxpayer-funded public school to enforce Sharia law. When the devout students began skipping class for Friday prayers, Warstler not only allowed them to skip school each week, he rewarded them with exclusive privilege that no other religious group will ever see in America.
Creeping Sharia reports that instead of reprimanding the entitled Muslim students for playing hooky, Warstler kickstarted the idea for a Muslim prayer room and used taxpayer funds to implement the unconstitutional religious implementation.
Although Warstler falsely told Wingspan that the miniature mosque on school grounds was a “student-led” addition, he admitted that it was all his idea and that he spearheaded its construction, directly rewarding their flouting of school rules by transforming an entire classroom for their worship services.
“Their parents would pick them up, so they may miss an hour and a half to two hours to two and a half hours of school every Friday, so I met with those students and a couple of their parents and suggested if they would be okay if the students were able to lead the prayer at school as a group, and we gave them a space to do that so they didn’t have to be in a car traveling thirty minutes each way on a Friday missing an hour, hour and half, of class.”
“…You know we have other religious student groups that meet maybe before school or maybe after school,” Warstler said “As long as it’s student-led, where the students are organizing and running it, we pretty much as a school stay out of that and allow them their freedom to practice their religion.”
Warstler’s lies are only digging himself into an Islam-approved grave. After he proposed its implementation, the principal equated using school property on school time with the same freedom of merely being allowed to gather outside of class time in areas not specially designated for other religious groups’ worship.
Unlike Christian, Jewish, or other religious students, the Muslim classmates are encouraged to audibly proclaim the call to prayer, remove their shoes, and bow to Allah in the classroom. Religious hypocrisy, gender segregation, and repression are allowed to dominate the taxpayer-funded, public school-supported worship service as female students must pray behind male students in accordance with sexist Sharia law.
KERA News reports that the classroom has been emptied of non-Muslim students for just 10 Muslim students, which alleges the notion that religious discrimination is also taking place at the school on the taxpayer dime. Still, Warstler defends only the Muslim students, giving them a privilege that no other group on campus has.
“They’re not out proselytizing,” he said. “They’re not out in the lunch periods trying to gain, you know. They take care of themselves in their group and they accept those that are a part of their group. And honestly, if others wanted to go in and learn and see and experience that, they’re OK with that.”
Disturbingly, Warstler is once again caught showing religious bias. He may be correct in stating that the Muslim students aren’t openly proselytizing because he’s actually doing it for them. He is heard encouraging students to “go in and learn” about Islam, which may happen since they aren’t allowed their own prayer rooms or special time out of class like their Muslim peers.
Unfortunately, as Creeping Sharia points out, the Christian majority isn’t afforded the same “freedoms” as the tiny Muslim minority. Just last year, O’Donnell High School officials in O’Donnell, Texas, censored a student’s painting because it depicted the 10 Commandments and a Bible verse because just one student complained. Staff at Patterson Middle School in Killeen, Texas, forced a coworker to remove her “Christ the Lord” Christmas decoration. Luckily, the decision was overturned but only after a circuit judge became involved and overruled the school. In addition, other public schools just like Liberty have stopped student-led Bible studies, reprimanded students for privately reading the Bible during free time, and blocked Christian students from peacefully worshipping on school grounds.
Hopefully, Warstler’s underhanded deeds will be exposed as this story garners national attention, encouraging the non-Muslim majority to make some demands of their own. This taxpayer-funded public school shouldn’t be promoting religion in the first place, much less promoting Islam on school time and property.
