Things are heating up in Hillary Clinton’s email scandal investigation. New information has surfaced, and it’s not good for the former Secretary of State. Most people think the Democrat front-runner will skate easily by these potential charges, but the FBI is making a power play. Most troubling for Hillary are her closest aides, who are going on the hot seat, and what they will say could end Hillary for good.
The L.A. Times got an exclusive scoop with sources close to the FBI investigation into the Hillary email scandal. These sources leaked vital information, proving that the FBI is not playing around with this investigation, with 147 agents digging in all corners of the Hillary email scandal, in hopes to speed up the timeline for making a case.
One hundred forty-seven FBI agents have been deployed to run down leads, according to a lawmaker briefed by FBI Director James B. Comey. The FBI has accelerated the investigation because officials want to avoid the possibility of announcing any action too close to the election. W-H-A-T? One hundred and forty seven agents? Doesn’t that seem like a ton for a story that Clinton has always insisted was really, at heart, a rightwing Republican creation? [via SelfGovern.com]
It sure seems like a lot of smoke if there is no fire. The FBI seems to think there is something very wrong with what Hillary did. At the heart of this confusing sandal is this: Hillary used a home based server, along with her blackberry, that had classified top-secret documents stored on both, which is against the law, compromising our national security.
Now all eyes turn to her closest aides, who will testify in the coming weeks, says the L.A. Times. This is big, and it indicates that this investigation is nearing the end.
No dates have been set for questioning the advisors, but a federal prosecutor in recent weeks has called their lawyers to alert them that he would soon be doing so, the sources said. Prosecutors also are expected to seek an interview with Clinton herself, though the timing remains unclear. [via L.A. Times]
Who are these closest aides, and what do they have to lose? Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills, Jake Sullivan, and Philippe Renes will likely be called to testify. This is problematic for Hillary. If one of these aides comes clean, it could spell disaster for her.
The Clintons love scapegoating their scandals. It’s a way for Hillary to blame her underlings, saying she knew nothing. The problem is, emails from Mills to Hillary directly tell her the blackberry she wants to use for classified documents is a situation that must be cleared. That special clearance never was granted, and that is damning for Hillary.
Will one of the aides surprise the world and tell the truth? Anything can happen, and with 147 FBI agents putting them under the microscope, one might be persuaded to throw Hillary under the bus. We can only hope this becomes the one scandal that takes Hillary down. There’s no doubt the Clintons are due to face justice for all of their dirty deeds.
