On Thursday, President Donald Trump boarded Air Force One for his first official flight as POTUS. What an awesome symbol of nationalism it was to see the president board the aircraft traditionally reserved for him. However, as video of his first flight emerged, viewers quickly focused attention on what was playing in the background.
Americans immediately took note of Trump’s first ride on Air Force One as he headed to Philadelphia to address Republican leadership in Congress for many different reasons. Reports emerged about everything from his salutes to our military to his wave, or lack thereof, to the press. However, something else has now caught the attention of Americans after one astute Twitter user noticed what was playing in the background as the first video was recorded of the president on the aircraft.
Trump remarked that Air Force One is a “great plane” and “really beautiful” after his very first flight. He should know; his own private jet, which he used every day on the campaign trail, is regarded as one of the finest in the world, but it was not equipped to serve the needs of the leader of the free world. “This is a very special plane for a lot of reasons,” he said of Air Force One.

Someone even noticed that President Donald Trump had the television in the aircraft tuned to Fox News. It would appear that after veteran anchor Megyn Kelly’s departure from the network, the president once again regards it as his mainstream station of choice.

As mentioned above, Trump flew to Philadelphia on Air Force One yesterday to address Republican leadership in Congress. He made headlines for supporting the March for Life, which took place in Washington, D.C., on Friday, and calling out the mainstream media.
“By the way, on Friday, a lot of people are going to be showing up to Washington, right, Mike? A lot of people,” said Trump. “You know, the press never gives them the credit that they deserve. They’ll have 300, 400, 500, 600,000 people. You won’t even read about it. When other people show up, you read big time about it. Right?”
Of course, Trump was referencing the media’s biased coverage of the Women’s March on Washington last Saturday, which was unfairly allowed to dominate the news cycle, despite more important stories which unfolded pertaining to the inaugural weekend. “So, it’s not fair, but, nothing’s fair about the media. Nothing,” said the president.
Donald Trump is winning bigly since officially being sworn into office. Consequently, Americans from all across the nation were cheering on Thursday as he took his first flight on Air Force One. What a refreshing change of pace he has been from Barack Obama!
