4,684,784 Non-Citizens Have 1 Thing In Common — This Will Make You Sick

The partial government shutdown is now in its fourth week, with Democratic leadership refusing to approve $5.7 billion in funding for President Donald Trump’s border wall. But once you hear what 4,684,784 non-citizens all have in common, you’ll want to build the wall yourself. This will make you sick.

Despite the fact that they have supported border security measures in the past, top Democrats are now refusing to fork over a measly $5.7 billion to fund President Donald Trump’s border wall. To any logical person, however, an impenetrable barrier along our porous southern border with Mexico only makes fiscal sense. Especially when you consider how many non-citizens are taking advantage of welfare programs designed to help American citizens.

According to findings by the Census Bureau, a jaw-dropping 63% of non-citizen households are on some type of government assistance. That equates to approximately 4,684,784 million illegal immigrants, according to The Political Insider’s estimation. Meanwhile, there are countless American citizens, like veterans and single parents, without the help they need to make ends meet during difficult times.

The Census Bureau findings were derived from a survey generated from respondents in 2014, when the Obama administration was encouraging welfare program use for non-citizens. The percentage of non-citizens using welfare is greater than any other demographic, with the second largest being native households, at just 35%. In other words, nearly twice as many non-citizens are using welfare as native households.

Perhaps even more alarming, the bureau’s numbers indicate that the percentage of welfare use actually climbs to 70 percent for non-citizens in the United States for 10 years or more. So once these non-citizen immigrants start receiving welfare benefits, they stay on the programs instead of bettering themselves.

No one should be on welfare for an entire decade, least of all immigrants who don’t belong in the country in the first place. This serves to validate a common conservative argument which claims that many of the illegal immigrants who infiltrate our borders have no intention of assimilating to our culture; they simply want to leech off of all the benefits we offer for as long as possible.

The political left loves to argue that illegal immigrants contribute to our society. Who else is going to pick our lettuce, they ask. But these low-skilled workers hardly make up for what they take from our economy.

“Concern over immigrant welfare use is justified, as households headed by non-citizens use means-tested welfare at high rates,” reports the Center for Immigration Studies, a Washington think tank. “While barriers to welfare use exist for these groups, it has not prevented them from making extensive use of the welfare system, often receiving benefits on behalf of U.S.-born children.”

With this many non-citizen immigrants on welfare, Trump’s wall would pay for itself nearly overnight. So why are the Democrats standing in the way of policy which makes so much sense? Apparently, they hate the president more than they love America and are unwilling to set aside petty partisan politics to do what is right for their constituents.

In the end, the Democrats are the ones who will suffer. Trump will get his wall one way or another. He is the master negotiator, after all. But the American people will not forget this government shutdown. They will not forget that the political left stood in the way of border wall funding, forcing government employees to go without their paychecks, even though not so long ago they were seemingly willing to spend any amount of money on border security. The American people will remember this come election time.
