Poverty pimp Al Sharpton seems to be in some sort of meltdown, confusing Bible verses with James Brown lyrics while he calls out President Donald Trump and the GOP Congress over Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch. Sharpton’s interview is causing quite a stir, and you’re going to be shaking your head hard when you learn just how far gone the Reverend Al seems to be.
Al Sharpton pulls out the race card and misuses the Bible to say the Democrats need “the big payback” on Republicans over the nomination of Neil Gorsuch. Al is referring to the fact that the Republicans did not consider Barack Obama’s nominee Merrick Garland.
“President Barack Obama nominated Judge Garland, who has got as much or more qualifications as this nominee, to have been the Supreme Court judge. They [GOP] stalled, they filibustered, they would not even give a hearing to Judge Garland,” said the Rev. Al, but after this point, it all goes very wrong.
Al continues, “It is time for the Democrats now to say, ‘Since you changed the rules, you’re going to have to live by the rules that you applied to President Obama’s nominee, and we are not going to allow you to change it, and we will use those rules to block this nominee, Judge Gorsuch.’”
Now, here is where he is so confused and has no grasp of what he is talking about. The Democrats changed the rules while Obama was president so they could get the judges appointed easier, with a simple majority. Sharpton is saying the Republicans changed it, so now they will have to live with it.
In November 2013, Washington Post reported, “Democrats used a rare parliamentary move to change the rules so that federal judicial nominees and executive-office appointments can advance to confirmation votes by a simple majority of senators, rather than the 60-vote supermajority that has been the standard for nearly four decades.”
If that wasn’t bad enough, Al then says, to President Trump and the GOP, “The Bible says that what you sow, that same thing you shall also reap,” and he goes on to equate that Bible verse with James Brown’s song “the Big Payback.” Leave it to the original poverty pimp to use the Bible and James Brown in one breath while completely getting all his facts wrong.
How is this man sought out by the black community for anything? He is a goof, and he makes a living off of his beloved African-Americans staying in poverty. He is a snake oil salesman, and what he sells are his words, which are a pile of crap. He has no grasp on what he is talking about at all.
Between the Rev. Al and the Rev. Jesse Jackson, I’m not sure which one of them is worse, but one thing is clear, it’s time they are continuously called out as shysters, liars, and pimps. They hurt poor people, and I’d rather be called racist and say the truth than to keep my mouth shut, listening to Rev. Al or Rev. Jackson continue to swindle those they say they protect.
