Former Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner sobbed in court as a New York Federal judge announced his fate after being found guilty of sexting a 15-year-old girl and asking her to touch herself on Skype so that he could watch. Gasping and crying as the judge sentenced him, Weiner broke down as he discovered how much of his life will be spent behind bars. It’s about time this criminal had to pay the piper, but his creepy courtroom behavior is enough to make anyone’s skin crawl and be further infuriated with the outcome of the case.
According to Daily Mail, Weiner was sentenced in a New York Federal court on Monday, September 25, 2017. The sobbing pedophile covered his face with his hands and nearly went limp as Judge Denise Cote sentenced him to 21 months in prison and three years of supervised release to follow. Although prosecutors asked the judge to give Weiner a harsher sentence, he was let off easy. Sadly, the 21 months in prison Weiner has been given will likely be reduced for good behavior.
The judge gave Weiner until November 6, 2017, to surrender at a designated prison facility. The prison Weiner will reside at has not yet been determined, according to the New York Post. The 53-year-old was also ordered to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life during his sentencing. Reportedly, Weiner was still wearing his wedding band on his way to court on Monday morning. Weiner’s brother, mother, and father were present for his sentencing, but his soon to be ex-wife Huma Abedin was a no-show. But, that’s not all that was noticed in the courtroom that has people talking.
Weiner’s prison sentence comes after a lengthy trial which originated after his sexting relationship with an underage girl was exposed. The pervert reportedly asked the girl to strip naked and touch herself for him on Skype. The shocking news was first revealed by Daily Mail in September 2016 and immediately caught the attention of federal investigators. Like dominos, Weiner’s case led the FBI to reopen its sham investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server after officials found messages between Clinton and Abedin on Weiner’s laptop. Of course, the corrupt former FBI Director James Comey ensured that Hillary escaped prosecution.
Weiner who was apparently very shaken as he stood before the judge, had a few comments of his own. He said that he had hit his “rock bottom” but that he was grateful for it as it has forced him into recovery. “I focus on how I live my new, smaller, healthier life one day at a time. I was a very sick man for a very long time. I have a disease but no excuse.” Weiner has disease alright, it’s called liberalism. When that disease gets terminal, there are truly no absolutes and that is how Weiner operated. He thought he was above the law and untouchable.
Weiner also said he was “profoundly sorry” about the underaged girl he victimized. To make things creepier, Weiner brought his 5-year-old son, Jordan, into his prepared statement and called Jordan his “salvation.” He also said he betrayed Jordan’s “amazing mother,” Huma Abedin. Feigning sincerity, Weiner tried to convince the court that he understood why prosecutors said he was full of crap. “I blamed others,” he said. “I convinced myself that I wasn’t the problem,” Weiner said.
“I’m an addict,” he added before taking things from bad to worse. Weiner talked about having some of the bad characteristics of his late brother, Seth, who died in 2000. Weiner said he was unable to recognize those things in himself. Wow, what a true narcissist. As his brother, mother, and father sat in court to support him, he trashed his dead brother.
“I victimized a young person who deserved better,” Weiner concluded, which may be the only accurate and truthful thing to slip from his mouth between his sobs for sympathy. From wearing his wedding band to having his son present and mentioning the loss of his dead brother, one thing became blatantly obvious to any reasonable person — Weiner is a manipulator, willing to use any pawn he can to get what he wants — whether that be a teen girl or his own family members. He’s learned nothing and has no true remorse for anything he did. That’s a sickness a little time in prison can’t fix.
Simply put, Weiner’s sentence was too short. He’s an egocentric maniac, and he won’t be any different after 21 months in prison. It’s very likely that Weiner will end up in some posh detention facility with access to Twitter and an endless supply of future victims. In my opinion, it would take far longer for a degenerate like Weiner to become self-reflective, and until then, he has no place in civilized society. Not now, and not even 21 months from now. Period.
