The traditional Christmas song “Baby It’s Cold Outside” was banned by some radio stations this year in an effort to appease the radical feminists who found its lyrics “offensive.” However, one Kentucky radio station was having none of it, and they found the perfect response to these ridiculous people.

The PC Police are out in full force this holiday season, and their latest incendiary crusade has been against the classic Christmas song “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” which some radio stations chose to remove from their playlists after the lyrics upset members of the #MeToo movement.

After KOIT began its 100% Christmas music programming on November 16th, the station received complaints from some listeners regarding the song’s lyrics. On Monday, December 3, KOIT Program Director Brian Figula opted to place the song on hold while seeking further listener feedback.  The decision to pause on the song received extensive coverage from local and national news organizations. The decision to ban “Baby It’s Cold Outside” did not go over well with the vast majority of the population, however, who were flabbergasted that anyone would find such a harmless tune “offensive.” After an untold amount of listeners made their feelings known, radio stations which had previously shelved the song were forced to reverse their decision.

96.5 KOIT has returned the song Baby, It’s Cold Outside to its Christmas music playlist. After hearing from thousands of Bay Area listeners via polling, phone calls, emails and social media, KOIT has concluded that the vast majority consider the song to be a valuable part of their holiday tradition, and they still want to hear it on the radio. But another radio station went one step further. On Sunday, Elizabethtown, Kentucky’s WAKY held a two-hour “Baby It’s Cold Outside” marathon from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., during which time five versions of the classic Christmas song were played.

“I’m not sure why it’s controversial,” said station programming director Joe Fredele. “We’ve played this song for years, you know, this song is older than WAKY is. It’s almost 70 years old.”

This is the same sentiment echoed by so many other rational music listeners who haven’t been able to wrap their heads around why extreme feminists have taken such offense to the song. Indeed, it seems that these people simply need something to get upset about at all times. “Baby It’s Cold Outside” was their latest unlucky target.

According to The Daily Caller, while #MeToo supporters see the song as sending the wrong message when it comes to female consent, Fredele sees the song an entirely different way.

“This song is not about that,” he said. “All it is, is a dialogue between a man and a woman, and at the end of the song, you hear them harmonize together, so they’re agreeing basically. It’s just a fun way of saying, ‘Hey this our vote for that song. It’s a fun song. It’s a romantic song, don’t pick on it.'”

In other words, those on the left who have been so upset over this classic tune need to get a grip. It’s time for them to move onto the next bogus thing that they’re going to deem offensive.
