Beto O’Rourke lost a Senate bid in Texas against conservative Ted Cruz. But the media has continued to fawn over this Democrat. They prop him up as one of many potential frontrunners who will challenge President Donald Trump in 2020. A recent interview exposed his real views on our country. They are far from patriotic.
Beto was a relatively unknown candidate, running against a top Republican in 2018. His chances at unseating Ted Cruz were slim to none. Then suddenly, a surge of outsider cash flooded Beto’s campaign. He was talked about on major news networks and websites. It seemed like Democrats were putting all their chips on Beto, convinced that the “Blue Wave” would sweep him into office.
All that momentum and liberal money almost worked. The left-wing Democrat got dangerously close to taking Cruz’s place. Since his loss, however, the liberal media has frequently talked about Beto as a potential candidate for the 2020 presidential election.
Yeah, because a failed Senate candidate should try for an even bigger office.
This Democrat has been scrutinized by conservatives over the last year. What we’ve seen isn’t pretty. O’Rourke is pro-illegal immigration. He opposes the wall. He’s said he wanted foreign labor to take American jobs (even saying Americans don’t want those jobs). Clearly, he represents everything wrong with the Democratic Party.
But it only gets worse from there.
In a recent interview, he was questioned about his views on America. In one statement, he both slams our military and values, while stating our Constitution is invalid!
“I think that’s the question of the moment: Does this still work? Can an empire like ours with military presence in over 170 countries around the globe, with trading relationships . . . and security agreements in every continent, can it still be managed by the same principles that were set down 230-plus years ago?” [Source: The Washington Post]
That’s right, folks. A Democrat who might run for president just called our country an “empire” and said our Constitution might no longer be relevant.
So much for his 2020 aspirations, right? Think again.
This is a growing trend among Democrats. They despise the values of our Founding Fathers, the very values that shaped our country. More and more we see they want to create an America that bans free speech, religious freedom, and the free market.
They want an America that is run by corrupt globalists, who decide whether or not we’re free, as long as it helps them make more money.
Beto’s response is reminiscent of the tired, anti-military talking points Democrats have spewed out for decades. He slandered the United States by calling us an “empire” that is conquering foreign lands. But he conveniently ignores the fact that our military presence helps protect our allies against forces that would wipe them off the map.
He doesn’t respect the sacrifices our military make to protect our freedoms. By all appearances, he has a very negative view of our country and role in the world.
Reminds me a lot of another guy… by the name of Barack Obama.
When pressed for more specific answers about major issues America faces, the man had nothing.
Asked why he wouldn’t commit to a hard position on issues, O’Rourke replied, “That’s a problem when you’re like, ‘It will be a wall,’ or ‘It will be this,’ or ‘We can only do it with this.’ The genius is we can nonviolently resolve our differences, though I won’t get to my version of perfect or I, working with you, will get to something better than what we have today . . . It’s rare that someone’s ever been able to impose their will unilaterally in this country. We don’t want that.” [Source: The Daily Wire]
Uh, what? Was that even an answer? He opposes the border wall, then calls for a “nonviolent” resolution.
Because, you know, walls are pretty violent.
I can’t think of a more peaceful solution to our border crisis that a barrier that simply prevents illegal entry. That won’t require soldiers or Border Patrol having to confront smugglers or criminal aliens. But, no, Beto needs to debate this issue forever… so nothing happens.
Is this pathetic excuse for a leader the best the Democrats can come up with? A man who clearly hates our country’s traditions and can’t make a definite decision on major issues? Perhaps they should keep looking.
