Bill Maher has a large following, one that normally loves his over-the-top, left-wing humor. However, even his devoted fans believe that he crossed the line when he mimicked an Ivanka Trump sex act on video, and now, he’s getting what he deserves after an immediate smackdown ensued.

The Huffington Post reports that Bill Maher is taking a great deal of heat over an incest joke he made about Ivanka Trump and her father, President Donald Trump. While on his program Real Time, alongside New York magazine reporter Gabriel Sherman, the 61-year-old revealed his perverted incest joke.

“What do you make of Ivanka and her efforts to sort of humanize her father? … A lot of us thought, Ivanka is gonna be our saving grace,” he said on Friday’s episode of his HBO show “Real Time” during an interview with New York Magazine’s Gabriel Sherman.

“When he’s about to nuke Finland or something, she’s gonna walk into the bedroom and — ‘Daddy, Daddy. Don’t do it, Daddy,’” making a crude gesture with his hand.

“Is that how you see Ivanka?” Maher asked Sherman, who replied with a “no.”

Watch the vulgar comments and gestures for yourself, below:

According to MailOnline, Sherman tried to defend Ivanka by saying, “I think, again, she’s on the margins trying to save us — to the degree that she can — but Donald Trump doesn’t listen to anybody, including his own family.”

It is not clear what Sherman thought of Maher’s joke, but others among his fan base were not amused in the least.

Sex jokes about the Trumps have been in the headlines quite a bit lately. Jesse Waters of Fox News took an off-air vacation after getting in trouble for allegedly making a sex joke about Ivanka Trump recently. Last week, Stephen Colbert made a homophobic joke about President Trump and Vladimir Putin. When the hashtag, #FireColbert started trending on Twitter, Colbert said, “I have jokes, he has the launch codes so it’s a fair fight.”

The truth is, comedians like Maher and Colbert make a living by saying shocking things. Trump-haters like the comments, but the truth is, there is nothing substantial to criticize about Trump so far. He won the election in a fair way, he is sticking to his campaign promises, and his administration is far more transparent than that of his predecessor, Barack Obama.

Trump is issuing in a new era of leadership in Washington, D.C., and establishment liberals and conservatives both are not sure how to handle the changes. For those who dislike Trump, the best they can do is make crude jokes about him and his family. If this continues, we will see obnoxious liberals like Bill Maher follow Hillary Clinton into retirement. Now that is a future we can all believe in.
