Californians Freak Out When They See What A ‘Sign Flipper’ Is Twirling

Californians are easily offended and distracted, thanks to the large liberal base. Now, one shop owner’s “unusual” sign is inciting outrage in Oceanside, and passersby continue to call the police to report that they have been offended by what the “sign flipper” is twirling.

The police have interfered with the sign twirler several times now over a simple cardboard sign. It’s nothing more than a piece of hardened paper, which is still even a little flimsy, according to the sign’s flipper. However, Von, a veteran and the sign twirling store manager, is taking a lot of heat over it.

“It looks like a machine gun,” said Sistina Taele, who was visiting Oceanside from out of town. “It is pretty aggressive.” Taele isn’t the only one who had their feeling hurt by the “aggressive” sign, and once you see it, you know why liberal panties are in a bunch.

“A couple people just going by flipping me the bird, either scolding me or yelling some type of obscenity out their window,” Von said. Obviously, it’s a cardboard gun, oversized, and not real, but even pictures scare the easily offended left anymore.

Frightened passersby called the police reporting sights of a “fake rifle” enough times that authorities asked Von why he felt the need to hold up the “gun.” Von told cops that he simply wanted to draw customers to his store, Firearms Unknown. He manages the shop, which sells gun parts. “It kind of frustrated me that someone would call and make a false statement like that knowing it is a cardboard sign that’s very flimsy,” he said.

Von says the police asked him to change his “offensive” sign more than once, but he declined. “I respectfully said no,” he explained. Von believes in his constitutional rights to not only keep and bear arms, but his rights to free speech as well, and he won’t be silenced no matter how many liberals he offends. “It’s kind of a slap in the face as a veteran,” Von said.

Von is happy his fake rifle sign brought business to his store and started a First Amendment debate in California. “All the amendments matter. You hear about a lot of stuff today. You know this matters, that matters,” he said. “Well, I matter and my rights matter. Every American matters.” When asked if his sign was harmful or dangerous in any way, and the obvious answer here is “no,” Von declared that “it’s cardboard. [But] I did get a paper cut from it.”

No rational human would get offended or call the police over a cardboard sign, but no one said liberals are rational. It’s obviously fake, so maybe instead of getting their underwear twisted up about it, a leftist could actually visit the gun store and do something productive, like learn about the guns and their Second Amendment rights. Keep waving your sign, Von!
