Country music star Carrie Underwood has come under attack from the left after she revealed what she’s been doing to her son in a recent interview. Fortunately, Underwood isn’t a stranger to the rabid left coming after her, and she’s taking the baseless accusations like a total champ.
Speaking with PEOPLE Magazine, Underwood explained how she’s been raising her young son, Isaiah Michael, and what she does every night in order to keep him grounded and ensure he grows up to be a good person, and the anti-Christian bigots are coming out in force over it. The country music star is an avowed Christian who hasn’t ever backed down from her beliefs, and she told the celebrity gossip magazine that every night before bed, she reads 7-month-old Isaiah children’s Bible stories with her husband, Mike Fisher, and the two plan to instill strong Christian values in their son as he grows older.
“Mike and I talk about teaching him how to approach everybody in a loving way, even if they’re not the same, “ Underwood said. “And to try to say, ‘You know what? God loves them, so it should be my job to do my best to love them as well.’”
She told PEOPLE that just as she grew up going to church often, even though at times she found it “really scary,” she wanted to make sure Isaiah had the same upbringing.
“We want to go to church, not just for lessons and learning, but also to have a community and be surrounded by people who are just trying to raise their kids up good,” said Underwood. “Keeping everything as loving as possible, you know?”
Of course, espousing religious views is the fastest way to get the secular left fired up, and rather than focus on Underwood’s dedication to raising a good man, people attacked her for her beliefs. Comments on the story were mostly positive, but the negative ones were downright disgusting.
“I know, right, lets teach him to be nice to the different people. Cause after all Carrie Underwood is the standard for normal. The fact is we are all the f**king same,” said one reader. “And she needs to acknowledge that first in order to teach it. As if her children would not figure out that on their own. All this article does is allow her to keep her f**ked up constructs while catering to the different people.”
Isn’t that nice? The attacks didn’t end there though.
“Yeah, let’s be nice to the different people. She talks like they have a disability or something. Christians only see things in black or white. In reality, the spectrum for every part of our being is vast and different for everyone because we all evolved in our own way. We weren’t made in the image of a 100% heterosexual, white male god.”
“So let me get this straight, she is going to teach her children how to be nice to the different people. Cause after, they were born into normal and can’t see their privilege, but must make a point to. Ummmmmm sounds like more b*lllshit to me. Nothing condescending about the tolerance of another’s personal contracts. Nothing.”
Man, don’t you just love the rabid left? It’s like if we don’t completely adopt all of their beliefs, we’re somehow these horrible people.
Anyways, as I said before, Underwood is taking the criticism like a champ. Kudos to her for standing up for her belief in God at a time when doing so isn’t the most popular thing, especially in celebrity circle. Her dedication to the Lord and her family will undoubtedly ensure that young Isaiah will grow up to be an excellent man, regardless of what any moonbat liberal thinks.
