In Fort Morgan, Colorado, a meat-packing plant learned what happens when you give hundreds of refugees a job. When management showed up to work, they were met with a nasty surprise from the ungrateful Somalis, who they generously employed. However, the company returned the favor ten days later with a special “gift” of their own.
Cargill Meat Solutions processes beef, and among their workers were more than 200 Muslim migrants who were dumped in the state with liberal promises of work and a better life. The business thought that they were doing a good thing by giving the Somalis work and even went as far as to make special accommodations for their Islamic prayer rituals on the job.
However, that generosity backfired, which was only a matter of time.
After the company’s recent sudden reversal of a long-standing prayer policy offered to Muslim employees only, where they gave the workers five-minute breaks to pray throughout their shifts, the entitled migrants lashed out at their employer. Demanding that they get their way and insisting that to deny them frequent breaks is “religious discrimination,” more than 100 of the Islamic employees pitched a huge fit.
Nearly 150 Muslim meat workers banded together in a massive temper tantrum, staging a walkout on the job until they got their prayer time back. Cargill didn’t care about their defiance and stuck to their new rule, which they made for a reason.
The business said that if they want to pray, they need to go home and do it. Then, the company showed them exactly how the plant refuses to bow to their religious demands.
The Denver Post reported that Cargill fired all the Somali employees who walked out and wouldn’t come back until prayer time was reinstated. While some of the workers did return prior to the employer’s perfect resolve, the vast majority did not, and they lost their paychecks for good because of it.
CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) got word of what happened and came knocking on Cargill’s door. Jaylani Hussein, a spokesman for CAIR, said he’s going to keep talking to Cargill officials to come to a conclusion in favor of Muslim prayer time.
“The workers were told: ‘If you want to pray, go home,’” Hussein said. “They feel missing their prayer is worse than losing their job,” he said about the fired employees’ opinion on the matter. “It’s like losing a blessing from God.”
Bravo to this company for taking back the control from their ungrateful employees after so much has been lost under the country’s liberal politicians. If refugees are going to be forced upon citizens in American communities, we shouldn’t have to change our way of life to accommodate them. They need to adapt or go back home.
