Cops Get Unexpected Guest At Station, Then They See What’s In Their Hands

As chaos erupted across our nation following the police-involved deaths of two armed men, which sparked violence towards law enforcement across multiple states, it’s safe to say cops are likely on edge. When police in Hagerstown, Maryland got an unexpected guest at their station, they were likely apprehensive — then they saw what was in the visitor’s hands and knew what they had to do.

Perhaps their unexpected guest understood, to some point, what law enforcement officers are going through right now. The trial of public opinion often leaves the innocent trying to defend themselves, and that’s what every police officer across our country is feeling and facing right now.

Although they were never hunted down in cold blood, Chick-fil-A is no stranger to being demonized. Maybe that’s why the local restaurant felt compelled to send the local station a message, or perhaps it’s just the fact that Chick-fil-A has always been a business known for showing compassion.

To their surprise, the unexpected guest had a special delivery, and they were coming not once but twice. Chick-fil-A delivered free food to the officers on patrol on July 9, and they were even coming back for the night shift to ensure those guys and gals in blue received some warm grub too as a sign of the restaurant’s support for all that their local heroes do. After seeing the delicious delivery, the cops knew just what they had to do — besides chow down on it, of course.

The department took to Facebook to make sure Chick-fil-A got the thanks they deserve too. “Major THANK YOU to Chick-fil-A for delivering free food for our officers on patrol today! And they’ll even be back for night shift!” the post began. “We’re thankful for Chick-fil-A’s support of local law enforcement throughout the year. (Side note: K-9 Amigo unfortunately does not get to eat a Chick-fil-A sandwich.)”

Both Chick-fil-A and our law enforcement officers have found themselves unfairly at the center of controversy for different reasons. It’s nice to see that those trials have them now showing compassion, understanding, and support for each another. God bless our brave officers in blue, who are doing a job that gets tougher by the day, and Chick-fil-A, who has stepped up so many times for so many people that it’s no wonder they are America’s favorite fast food chain.
