Debra Screams ‘STFU SUSAN’ After Sarandon Makes 1 ‘Rogue’ Comment About Trump

Despite enjoying one of the longest careers in Hollywood, Susan Sarandon doesn’t prescribe to the same agenda as most celebrities. So when she refused to trash President Donald Trump this week, fellow actress Debra Messing flew off the handle, screaming, “STFU SUSAN!”

Actress Susan Sarandon is no fan of President Donald Trump. However, that doesn’t mean she’s jumped on the same Trump-bashing train as the rest of her colleagues in Tinsel Town. After being prompted by a Variety reporter this week to give Trump a grade for his performance as president, Sarandon declined but offered somewhat of an optimistic outlook on the political climate.

Admitting that Trump isn’t responsible for many of the policies that Democrats blame him for, Sarandon said, “In all fairness to Trump, this stuff was all laid in place over the last 12 years. I mean, this didn’t just suddenly happen. Democrats were losing thousands and thousands of seats and all these things were put in place, and people were being deported and there was many many wars, and all that was happening.”

Indeed. Take the issue of family separation at the border, for example. That policy was put in place during the presidency of Barack Obama. The Trump administration is simply enforcing an immigration policy that had been in place long before Donald Trump took office.

In fact, Barack Obama deported more people than any other president in history, but you don’t hear the left whining about that. Obama also kept kids in cages while they were being detained, something which has been blamed on President Trump thanks to an Obama-era photo which recently resurfaced. Trump’s holding centers, by comparison, are the Ritz Carlton.

Sarandon went on to note the way Trump has energized voters, especially the younger generation. “I think 40 percent more women are running for office and becoming elected,” she said. “We’re on the verge of having the governors of Florida, Georgia, and Maryland be people of color and one woman. This is a revolution.”

While Sarandon’s remarks certainly weren’t supportive of Trump, they still raised the ire of fellow actress Debra Messing, who launched in an unhinged Twitter rant, filled with spelling and grammatical errors.

“STFU SUSAN,” wrote Messing. “Oh yes, PLEASE let’s give Trump CREDIT. I mean how else are you able to walk out on the street. Convince yourself that that this CATASTROPHE of a President who you said was better that HRC IS NOT ripping children away from parents seeking asylum, holding children… INDEFINITELY in internment camps with their new policy, DESTROYING all attempts to protect our environment (yes the water you properted to care about), endangered animals, taking away women’s ACCESS to health care and legal abortion, trying to block POC from Voting with extreme… Judges who will support jerrymandering [sic] efforts, not to mention destroying ALL good will and allied relationships across the Globe.”

“Oh, and lest you forget Syria, Crimea, and putting PRO-RUSSIA agenda BEFORE the United States best interests,” Messing continued, neglecting to mention that it was actually her girl Hillary Clinton who traded twenty percent of our uranium supply to Russia in exchange for a massive donation to her sham foundation.

“YES, do go on… And LAUD the effect Trump has had. Out of DESPERATION & PANIC for the DESTRUCTION of the Soul of our country. But you don’t want to look at THAT part of the equation. Because then you’d have to admit you were dead WRONG running around bellowing that HRC was more dangerous than… Trump,” she added.

“Only a self righteous, narcissist would continue to spout off and not – in the face of Americans’ pain and agony -be contrite and apologize for your part in this catastrophe. But, you do you Susan,” Messing concluded in a huff.

Sarandon responded by saying, “Debs, before you get yourself all self-righteous try clicking on the video and listening to what I actually say, not @Variety’s clickbait headline, which btw has no quotation marks. That’s a clue…”

Good grief. Can someone get Debra Messing a Xanax? This is precisely the reason celebrities have a reputation for being totally out-of-touch.

In Hollywood, you are only allowed to have one opinion. Disagree and you will quickly find yourself on the receiving end of hateful attacks. And this from the people who espouse themselves to be the most “tolerant” and “accepting” among us! What a joke.
