With the recent news of caravans reaching the U.S. border, Americans continue to demand the wall. Democrats absolutely refuse to fund it — jeopardizing the safety of all citizens. Now, Border Patrol gives us another reason we need to secure the border after revealing what they found at a bridge making its way into America.
The ongoing migrant crisis at the border is a strong reminder of why we need a stiff immigration policy. Thousands of Central American migrants have rushed our border, demanding they be let in. They were told they would easily enter the United States and be given jobs, money, and housing.
Clearly, immigration activists lied to these migrants. They were hoping our border would be overwhelmed with cases — so that more than a few would slip through.
The shocking entitlement of these migrants is a reminder that the United States is in danger. We must have a strong border to ensure nobody can enter illegally. Only those who are willing to follow our laws — and work hard to make America great — should be let in.
Democrats don’t see it that way. They want an open border and government benefits for every entitled, dangerous, and un-American invader.
Democrats have undermined our immigration system for years to import millions into our country. And, it’s all so they can exploit these aliens for votes. But, there is yet another urgent reason we need to secure our border — and fast. And, it has everything to do with the rising tide of crime just South of us.
A drug bust at the U.S.-Mexico border in Texas earlier this week exposed nearly $7 million worth of narcotics at a cargo facility.
Border agents at the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge cargo facility were alerted to a commercial shipment of stone blocks on Monday. Officers with drug-sniffing dogs discovered packages of narcotics hidden within the shipment.
The bridge crosses the Rio Grande, connecting Texas with Mexico.
Officials said they seized 35 packages believed to be methamphetamine weighing 320 pounds, seven packages believed to be cocaine weighing almost 40 pounds and two packages believed to be heroin weighing around seven pounds. The total street value is estimated at $6,998,000, border officials said.

This was no small smuggling operation. Our law enforcement caught the motherlode in cocaine, meth, and heroin. Those drugs — worth almost $7 million — would have been spread across the United States.
Imagine the damage those drugs would have caused in our communities, cities, and families. And, this isn’t an isolated incident. Every day, drug cartels push to get huge amounts of drugs into our country. Those drugs are used to get children and young people addicted. Drug cartels from Mexico and beyond want to enslave an entire generation to poison. And, our weak border lets them get away with it.
This shipment was seized, thanks to the tireless efforts of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. But, what about the next one? What about those shipments being smuggled by people moving across open parts of the border? There are long stretches of the border with no security — not even a real fence. It’s ludicrous to think that drug smugglers aren’t looking for any way to get drugs into the country.
Without a secure wall to keep them out, they’ll keep coming. Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer’s refusal to build the wall all but ensures that will happen. Are you going to let them get away with that? We must demand the wall be built, once and for all.
