Leftists Keep Trashing Dolly Over Hillary, Her Response Makes Trump Supporters Laugh

Dolly Parton, the iconic country singer, dropped a zinger on social media which has supporters of President Donald Trump in stitches. But, leftists who are still upset that she refused to back Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election refuse to forgive her. The blonde bombshell wasn’t getting political, but the haters on the left don’t care. Their hate toward Dolly is forever. Luckily, Parton blows them away. You’ll love this.

Dolly Parton is like a breath of fresh air for remaining true to her mission in life: to entertain us and inspire all Americans. She’s been under attack by Clinton-Obama supporters ever since she refused to bash then-candidate Donald Trump during the 2016 election season.

As our nation remains so divided, Parton is making us laugh. Twitter is a cesspool of political content, but Dolly decided to keep her now-viral tweet non-political. Instead, she nailed it by referring to one of her hit songs.

For fans of Dolly Parton, you’ll be familiar with her hit song “Jolene.” For those of you who aren’t familiar, “Jolene” is one of those songs about love gone wrong. The beginning lyrics are, “Jolene, Jolene, Jolene—I’m begging you please don’t take my man. Jolene, Jolene, Jolene— Please don’t take him just because you can.”

Twitchy reports, “We thought the ‘distracted’ boyfriend meme may have actually worn out its welcome, but leave it to Dolly Parton to bring back the classic as only she could. Warning, this tweet is so awesome it might actually cause ‘damage’ to anyone without a sense of humor.”

Dolly’s tweet is mega-viral with over 370,000 likes and over 100,000 people talking about it on Twitter, in just under 24 hours, sparking articles all over the internet. But we noticed something about those who love it and those who are still bashing Dolly.

Granted, country music fans are generally from “flyover country,” the heartland of America, so a good majority of those loving Dolly and her tweet are Trump supporters. Yet, we couldn’t help but report on those leftists who remain really angry at Parton.

It all started when Dolly posted on Facebook back in July 2016, “This morning while I was watching the news I saw many reports that I had endorsed Hillary Clinton. My comment about supporting a woman in the White House was taken out of context. I have not endorsed Hillary Clinton…”

Joanna Goldstein, who was following Parton’s page, replied, “I joined this page to support Dolly because I heard she was being harassed for backing Hillary but as she had not even made up her mind yet I will reconsider my support for her and her page. How anyone woman can even consider supporting a racist misogynistic pig is far beyond any sensible stretch of the imagination. As I don’t want my name or like number to be in any way misconstrued as support for Trump I will gracefully unfollow and unlike this page until and if Dolly comes to her senses.”

Then, even though Dolly remained neutral publicly during the 2016 presidential race, she has been relentlessly attacked as a Trump supporter. Dolly’s good friend Kenny Rogers called Parton “the Donald Trump of country music” after seeing her in concert in September.

And she was attacked for that, too, with USA Today reporting that people were incensed Rogers could “mean that as a compliment.” But the big thing the mainstream media refuses to forgive Dolly for is her appearance at the 2017 Emmys with her co-stars from the movie 9 to 5, Lily Tomlin and Jane Fonda.

The Huffington Post and their readers are still horribly angry the country music icon didn’t join Tomlin and Fonda in their ridiculous Trump bashing on stage.

They report, “Jane Fonda began with, ‘Back in 1980, we refused to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot’ (which also was the film’s tagline). Lily Tomlin quickly followed with, ‘And in 2017, we STILL refuse to be controlled by a sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot.’ A clear reference to Trump in the White House.”

“Dolly Parton, standing between the other two women, looked immediately shocked and surprised, perhaps a little perturbed at Tomlin’s words. All while keeping that signature Dolly Parton cheerful smile on her face. Then, in what seemed to be an awkward and unscripted ad-lib, Parton walked back Tomlin’s comment by joking that it wasn’t political but actually referencing Dabney Coleman, co-star in the film,” adds the Huffington Post.

All the continued leftist hatred Dolly was getting came to head in March 2018, so the blonde bombshell let the haters have it. She said, “I’m not addressing that [politics]. I do not get into that. Of course, I have my opinion about everybody and everything. But I learned a long time ago — keep your damn mouth shut if you want to stay in show business. I’m not in politics. I am an entertainer.”

Those with Trump Derangement Syndrome are still trashing Dolly, refusing to forgive that as a woman she would not support Hillary Clinton. But Trump supporters respect her for staying out of the presidential race and staying focused on just entertaining us.

The leftist Hollywood crowd should take advice from Dolly Parton. What a better world we would have if we didn’t have the Hollywood liberals consumed with Trump-hatred, they could use their talents to inspire us and make every American feel great again.
