CNN’s Don Lemon Claims It’s Not Jussie Smollett’s Fault, Trump Makes Him Regret It

CNN’s Don Lemon admits that he is a good friend of actor Jussie Smollett who was just charged with a felony for staging a hate crime hoax. The story quickly went viral after Smollett claimed two men tied a noose around his neck and poured bleach on him while shouting, “This is MAGA country!” Now, Lemon is saying “it’s not his fault” while blaming President Donald Trump. Well, Trump just made the CNN anchor regret it. Don’t miss this.

Talk about a rush to judgment. For weeks, the mainstream media along with the Hollywood crowd has been attacking supporters of President Donald Trump after Empire actor Jussie Smollett claimed he was attacked by two white guys who Smollett told police had screamed, “This is MAGA country.”

CNN’s Don Lemon was one of those who immediately backed Smollett. The 52-year-old CNN host said he was saddened but “wasn’t shocked” by the attack on Smollett. Lemon says he called him after the so-called attack and texts him daily. Lemon shared his texts messages to Smollett while he was appearing on Jada Pickett’s “Red Table Talk” show.

“Every day I say, ‘I know you think I’m annoying’ – I can show you a text,” said Lemon. “I know you think I’m annoying you, but I just want to know that you’re OK, and if you need somebody you can talk to me, ’cause there’s not a lot of us out there,” Lemon recalled. “Sometimes he responds; sometimes he doesn’t. He responds and says, ‘You are not annoying.'”

So, Don Lemon was personally invested in this case from the get-go. Both men are huge Trump-haters. Smollett told ABC’s Robin Roberts that he was attacked over his anti-Trump sentiments. “I come really, really hard against 45. I come really hard against his administration. I don’t hold my tongue,” Jussie Smollett told interviewer Robin Roberts.

Since Smollett chose to make the fake attack about President Trump and his supporters, Lemon was on board when Smollett was ready to charge two innocent men who he hoped would be Trump supporters.

“Early on they asked Jussie if he’d sign complaints against the two men who attacked him and he was clear that he would,” reported TMZ. But when Smollett found out the police had identified his accomplices, two Nigerians, the 32-year-old hoaxer panicked and refused to press charges.

Now that Smollett has been charged with felony disorderly conduct for allegedly filing a false police report, Lemon is so distressed that President Trump, Sean Hannity, and Fox News will pounce on his good buddy. He went as far as to say “its not his fault” that Smollett has lost the case “in the court of public opinion.” Lemon could care less that his friend was willing to let two innocent men go down for his crime.

“Sean Hannity is going to eat Jussie Smollett’s lunch every single second,” Lemon panicked. “Tucker Carlson is going to eat Jussie Smollett’s lunch every single second. The President of the United States is going to eat his lunch.”

You know what, Don? CNN, if they were a real source of journalistic integrity, would have Smollett’s lunch too,” the Political Insider reported.

Well, President Donald Trump had initially told reporters that he thought the attack was “horrible” and showed sympathy. Asked what he thought about President Donald Trump calling his alleged assault “horrible,” the 36-year-old replied, “I don’t know what to say to that, you know? I appreciate him not brushing over it.”

Now, the president is sounding off on Smollett and the media’s rush to judgment attacking Trump supporters. “@JussieSmollett – what about MAGA and the tens of millions of people you insulted with your racist and dangerous comments!? #MAGA,” tweeted President Trump.

There is no doubt Americans are disgusted by Jussie Smollett’s fake hate crime hoax. What we find to be beyond despicable is that Smollett was willing to charge two innocent men and ruin their lives forever. Hey, who cares as long as they are two white guys who support Trump, right? Talk about reverse racism.

James Woods reminded us of the rabid leftist’s reaction as he tweets actor Billy Eichner’s post where he said, “Heartbroken and furious reading about the attack on JussieSmollett. I want Trump and all MAGA lunatics to burn in Hell.”

For those who claim this has nothing to do with politics or Trump supporters, they are either blind or can’t face the truth. In fact, America isn’t a racist nation.

African-American Harvard Professor Orlando Patterson said, “America is now the least racist white-majority society in the world, has a better record of legal protection of minorities than any other society, white or black, and offers more opportunities to a greater number of black persons than any other society, including all those of Africa.”

Let us all use this moment to expose all the race-baiters who constantly accuse white Americans of being monsters, KKK members, and worse. We are seeing the rise of reverse racism in this country, and we must hold those like Jussie Smollett and his buddy Don Lemon accountable. We can’t afford to be silent. Someone is going to get hurt. Make sure all your family and friends know we must stand strong.
