Former Attorney General Eric “Fast and Furious” Holder recently announced that he’s interested in being the next President of the United States. However, Dinesh D’souza comes up big on social media to wreck Holder’s world with some brutal truth.
According to New York Post, on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, former Attorney General Eric Holder announced to an audience at a Washington, D.C., breakfast hosted by the Christian Science Monitor that he hasn’t ruled out a run for the presidency. Holder’s comments were aimed at the thought of unseating President Donald Trump in 2020.
When he was asked about the possibility of placing his primary bid, Holder said, “We’ll see,” and later commented that he will decide later this year about entering what is expected to be an extremely competitive presidential election race. The former gun-running Attorney General was also asked about his prospects at a future in politics.
Holder lobbed out a similar response and said, “I’ll see. I’m focused on the National Democratic Redistricting Committee NDRC at this point. But I think I’ll make a decision at the end of this issue as to whether or not there is another chapter in my government service.”
I’m not sure if this announcement that he might “take on Trump” makes Holder more stupid than arrogant. With his track record of corruption, Holder would be lucky to be elected to Congress. In reality, he deserves an orange jumpsuit and an affectionate over-eager cellmate.
During his time as Obama’s insulator from prosecution, Holder provoked countless numbers of Americans into hating him. He is the first member of a president’s cabinet in history to be held in contempt of Congress after he refused to cooperate with a Congressional investigation. That investigation just happened to be a probe into a Justice Department program that provided guns to Mexican gangs and drug cartels.
Conservative powerhouse Dinesh D’Souza didn’t miss the opportunity to wreck Holder over his announcement that he might run for POTUS in 2020. He likened Holder to a mafia boss in a brutal tweet. “Eric Holder running for president reminds me of the Corleone family’s ambition to one day make it to the highest levels of government,” D’Souza wrote on his Twitter account.

I most certainly agree with D’Souza’s perspective on a Holder presidential run. Holder is guilty of treason and should never be allowed to run for public office. He was a key player in an operation where guns were intentionally purchased in Phoenix, Arizona, to be smuggled into Mexico. The guns would then be traced as they went into Mexico, with the stated purpose that this tactic would lead to cartel members who could then be apprehended.
Notably, the guns in Phoenix were purchased via “straw purchases,” where the buyer knew he was not buying the guns for himself but for the persons to whom they would be smuggled. Those kinds of purchases are illegal but were allowed by Obama’s administration because acquiring the guns was key to the operation. To make matters worse, the guns purchased in Phoenix were not only “major assault weapons” – so hated by the left – but also .50 caliber rifles.
Barack Obama’s objective for the Fast and Furious operation was not necessarily the narrative he tried to initially peddle. In my opinion, the goal of the operation was to have the guns create enough havoc on the border that Americans would beg for the government to institute more gun control. Simply put, this was a criminal act by the Obama administration and Border Patrol agent Brian Terry lost his life in 2010 because of it, according to Fox News.
Eric Holder was part of this scheme to get the American public to demand tougher gun control laws. He and Obama knew they couldn’t just go take guns out of the hands of people. They also knew they couldn’t just get rid of the Second Amendment. Holder is one of the most corrupt individuals ever to serve in our government. His announcement of a possible run for the presidency is indeed stupid and arrogant.
