It is beginning to look more and more as if Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh are a political smear campaign to derail the judge’s confirmation. Case in point: There is a very alarming connection between Blasey Ford and Anita Hill, the woman who raised sexual harassment allegations against Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
We have now learned what might just be the nail in the coffin for Blasey Ford’s credibility: She is working with the same Democratic super-operative who convinced Anita Hill to come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against then-Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas some three decades ago.
Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her when they were both teenagers, is being advised by Democratic operative Ricki Seidman. Seidman, a senior principal at TSD Communications, in the past worked as an investigator for Sen. Ted Kennedy, and was involved with Anita Hill’s decision to testify against Supreme Court Nominee Clarence Thomas.
She also worked as Joe Biden’s communications director during the 2008 general election campaign, after he was named Barack Obama’s running mate. In 2009, according to her online biography, she helped the White House manage the confirmation of Obama’s Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor. Before that, she worked in the Clinton White House as deputy communications director.
Seidman was brought in to offer personal advice to Ford, a California-based psychologist who has no experience living in the spotlight of a national story, or in the crosswinds of Washington politics. It is not yet clear whether Ford plans to testify in front of Congress. A source familiar with her thinking said she is still making up her mind. [Source: Politico]
Ricki Seidman, currently an executive at a public relations company, has worked for the Dukakis, Mondale, and Clinton campaigns for president, according to The Daily Caller. She also served as Joe Biden’s communications director when he was named as Barack Obama’s running mate in the 2008 election, and managed the confirmation of Obama’s Supreme Court justice nominee Sonia Sotomayor.
Recently, Seidman served as the executive director of the liberal voter turnout group Rock the Vote. She also served in Bill Clinton’s campaign’s “war room” and as deputy communications director in the Clinton White House. But most importantly, she is no stranger to high-profile fights over nominations to the Supreme Court by a Republican president.
Seidman cut her teeth running attack ads against Robert Bork, a nomination that was eventually derailed. She then moved to Democratic Sen. Ted Kennedy’s office, where she was instrumental in convincing Anita Hill to go public with her claim that Clarence Thomas sexually harassed her. Seidman was also instrumental in leaking the Hill story to the press when lawmakers didn’t take it seriously.
“As legal director for Norman Lear’s People for the American Way, she was responsible for the infamous attack-ad on the judicial record of Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork,” reports The Weekly Standard. “She next moved to Senator Edward Kennedy’s office shortly after Clarence Thomas was nominated to the Supreme Court, and she is credited with pressuring the reluctant Anita Hill to come out with her harassment story. When the Judiciary Committee failed to listen, according to David Brock’s The Real Anita Hill, Seidman helped leak the story to the press.”
Seidman was so instrumental in the promotion of the Anita Hill story, in fact, that HBO featured her in its dramatic series about the hearing, titled “Confirmation.”
Well, if you needed more proof that the rape accusation against Brett Kavanaugh was concocted by the left as a last-ditch attempt to derail the judge’s confirmation, this ought to do it. Not only is Christine Blasey Ford a militant leftist who hates President Donald Trump and his agenda, but she is currently working with Ricki Seidman.
