It seems like, on a daily basis, liberals find new ways to attack our gun rights. From almost every angle, they seek to limit our access to guns. They attack law-abiding Americans and make gun ownership seem like an evil practice. Now, Gabby Giffords, a notable Democratic lawmaker, is seeking a new way to infringe on American’s Second Amendment rights.
Democrats always look for the easy answers. Whenever a terrible shooting occurs, they point to guns. They seem unable to comprehend that evil, sick, and dangerous people are the cause of shootings, not firearms. They jump on the idea of gun control because that’s the easiest, most simplistic solution, and it makes them look good on TV.
Time and again, we discover that gun control laws do nothing to stop criminals from harming civilians. They are very good, however, at limiting Americans’ access to firearms. Gun free zones turn people into victims. Gun control only prevents law-abiding citizens from defending themselves from criminals, terrorists, or other threats.
Now, we have learned that Democrat Gabby Giffords has found a new way to attack our rights. Her gun control group is going after “ghost gun” websites. Their scheme is to prevent Americans from having access to perfectly legal equipment at the source.
Gabby Giffords’ gun control group is pressing web hosts to close down sites for GhostGunner.net and GhostGuns.com.
Giffords’ group claims “ghost guns” are increasingly being used by criminals and they want the web hosts to “invoke…policies to help stem the tide of this illegal, deadly behavior.”
According to the Associated Press, Giffords’ group is specifically asking Shopify and DreamHost to close down the sites. They point to reports that the Rancho Tehama School attack (November 14) involved a homemade gun, suggesting that proves more regulations regarding law-abiding citizens and “ghost guns” are needed. What an underhanded thing to do. Because Giffords can’t get Congress to pass laws against “ghost guns,” she attacks the websites that sell and educate people about them. By pressuring web hosts to violate their terms on their paying customers, she hopes to stop people from arming themselves.
Not only is that an obvious attack on our Second Amendment rights, but a violation of Free Speech! Two for one, Gabby, way to go!
The owner of one of these websites asserts they have broken zero laws.
Cody Wilson runs GhostGunner.net and stresses that “the products he sells on his website are legal and in compliance with federal regulations.” He said Giffords’ gun control push is “an attempt to apply pressure to deplatform a legal, American business selling legal products to law-abiding customers.” And he told Breitbart News that Gifford’s group “should have Googled ‘tortious interference’” before pressuring a web host to shut down his site. Wilson is not breaking any laws. His website does not sell contraband or any illegal weapon or part. He has done nothing wrong. Yet, Gabby’s gun control group is still trying to shut him down. That’s how liberals operate. They don’t care about the law or Americans’ rights. They will try to push their agenda, one way or another — even if that means breaking the law themselves.
Like most gun control groups, they don’t even understand the equipment they criticize. Imagine my surprise.
On November 20 Breitbart News reported that Giffords’ gun control group responded to the Las Vegas concert attack by calling for more gun control on muzzleloaders. Nevermind the fact that muzzleloaders were not used in the Vegas attack.
Additionally, muzzleloaders are not a go-to gun for 21st century Americans and Giffords’ group admitted this, saying, “Muzzleloaders are firearms that must be loaded through the end of the barrel with powder, wadding and a projectile. Muzzleloaders fell out of favor as a firearm of choice almost a century ago, and are generally seen as primitive antiques.” [Source: Breitbart]
Wow! They can’t even get the facts right. And, they want to decide law that affects the Bill of Rights and every American. I think it’s time we tell gun control groups what they can do with their “recommendations.” They won’t stop until the 2nd Amendment is gone, so please SHARE this story to inform your friends and family.
