The “sanctuary city” of Seattle, Washington, is being rocked by a new scandal in which their openly gay mayor Ed Murray is being accused of a sickening sex crime involving a teenager, and it could put him out of office for good.

According to Daily Caller, a 46-year-old plaintiff has filed a lawsuit against Murray claiming that the mayor of Seattle repeatedly “raped and molested him” when he was a drug using teenager in the 1980s, according to The Seattle Times. The man from Kent, Washington, known as D.H., filed the lawsuit in state court with the shocking claim that Murray frequently sexually abused him.

In his shocking claims about the mayor, D.H. described meeting him on a bus and being invited to his apartment for a sexual encounter. According to the accuser, the alleged sexual abuse went on for about 5 years, and Murray paid him $10 to $20 dollars each time. “And there’s times he would be doing certain things and I would tell him to stop and he wouldn’t stop, and I let it happen because I wanted that money so I can go get those drugs,” D.H. said during an interview.

“I have been dealing with this for over 30 years,” the accuser said on Thursday, adding he’s been drug-free for a year. He described the revelation as essential to the “healing process” of addiction recovery and coming to terms with “the shame, the embarrassment, the guilt, the humiliation that I put myself through and that he put me through.”

Murray, who is seeking reelection in 2017, has denied the story and suddenly canceled an appearance which was scheduled for Thursday, April, 6 where he was to speak on police reform. A statement in regard to the accusations was issued by a Murray staffer, which reads:

“These false accusations are intended to damage a prominent elected official who has been a defender of vulnerable populations for decades. It is not a coincidence that this shakedown effort comes within weeks of the campaign filing deadline. These unsubstantiated assertions, dating back three decades, are categorically false. Mayor Murray has never engaged in an inappropriate relationship with any minor. … Mayor Murray will vigorously fight these allegations in court.”

While politicians are often the target of false sex scandals, this isn’t the first time Murray has been accused of lurid sexual misdeeds. Two other individuals, Jeff Simpson and Lloyd Anderson, had previously come forward accusing Murray of similar charges and said that it took place when they were young boys attending a center for troubled children in the 1980s.

Simpson, who came forward in 1984, was dismissed after talking to a social worker and a police investigator. However, at this point, Murray looks like he may have something to worry about with multiple alleged victims coming forward saying the same thing.

Although Murray can’t be criminally prosecuted over the disturbing allegations due to the statute of limitations, civil suits can be leveled against the openly homosexual mayor of Seattle. The Seattle Times conducted interviews with both Simpson and Anderson who said that they would be available to testify in court.

The lawsuit filed by D.H. gives a description of Murray’s 1980’s apartment, provides a valid phone number, and even goes into specific details about Murray’s private parts. According to the suit, prior to engaging in the alleged sexual activity, Murray asked D.H. how old he was to which the boy replied he was 15 years old. Murray was 30 years old at the time of the alleged sexual abuse.

D.H. said in his interview with the Seattle Times that he has chosen to come forward after the recent passing of his father. He expressed he no longer feels he has to remain silent about the incidents. If D.H.’s accusations are proven to be true, Murray should resign immediately. Anyone who would take advantage of a desperate drug-addicted teenager does not belong in a position of power or influence.
