Hillary Clinton is painting Libya as a huge foreign policy success. Hoping Americans have forgotten Benghazi, she is trying to re-write history. Benghazi marks the point of Hillary’s worse failure. Four American heroes lost their lives on her watch. Now, she hopes Americans have moved on, as she loudly proclaims these five words that have Americans so shocked and outraged the back lash is just beginning.
Hillary Clinton was at a Democratic town hall Monday night, and the subject of Libya came up. As Secretary of State, Libya is a disaster of epic proportions for Hillary, as her foreign policy destabilized the region which culminated in the Benghazi attack.
Hillary is turning that history on its head, as she tried to pull a fast one over on the crowd:
“You see what’s happening in Syria with the consequence of millions of people flooding out of Syria, with more than 250,000 people killed, with terrorist groups like ISIS taking up a huge swath of territory as big as some of the states in that area,” Clinton said. “So yes, Libya was a different kind of calculation and we didn’t lose a single person.” [via The Blaze]
This shocking statement is pure Clinton protocol on scandals — deny, deny, deny. Later, the Clintons will say they “misspoke” if the people call them out on their lies. Nice try, Hillary, but we Americans aren’t going to let this one slide. World Net Daily reports on Hillary’s latest whopping lie about Benghazi, reminding us what happened in Libya:
Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed, along with Sean Smith, a foreign service information officer, and in a second assault a few hours later, CIA contractors Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty.
The Obama administration pressed the message the attacks on the consulate weren’t related to terrorism, but rather due to violence that stemmed from a YouTube video that painted Islam in a perceived poor light.
So, we did lose people, Americans who were frantically calling the State Department after weeks of warning that the situation was becoming deadly. Ambassador Stevens is on the record, along with Sean Smith, as emailing and calling the State Department for months about the need for added security.
Denying the heroic deaths in the line of duty of our fellow American citizens is not going to fly. We stand with the families of the four Benghazi heroes, and Hillary needs to know “we will never forget.”
