Hogg Is Pissed! Ingraham Advertiser Makes Stunning Decision 1 Week After Pulling Ads

Due to pressure from Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg, advertisers including Jenny Craig, Nutrish, Hulu, TripAdvisor, Wayfair, Expedia, Nestlé, Johnson & Johnson, Office Depot, and Ace Hardware all pulled out of their partnerships with Fox News host Laura Ingraham. However, one of these companies has now made a stunning decision that’s left Hogg pissed.

Exactly one week after deciding to pull ads from Laura Ingraham’s Fox News program, Ace Hardware has reversed its decision. In an email to TheWrap, a spokeswoman for the company apologized for having “incomplete information” when it announced it would cease advertising on “The Ingraham Angle.” The announcement comes in contrast to the company’s previous statement on the matter. “I can confirm that we do not have any plans to nationally advertise on Ingraham’s show in the future,” the same spokeswoman said on April 5.

According to HuffPost, ads for Ace Hardware did not appear on “The Ingraham Angle” early on in the week, but on Thursday, they were back in the rotation. This, of course, angered Ingraham’s critics and raised questions surrounding whether or not Ace had decided to reverse course following a counter-boycott launched by conservatives.

As soon as companies began pulling their support from Ingraham’s show, conservatives launched a counter-boycott which has been far more effective than the boycott David Hogg originally called for after Ingraham claimed he was “whining” about being rejected by several colleges he applied to. In Facebook videos and Twitter posts, conservatives rallied for a counter-boycott of companies that pulled their ads from Ingraham’s show, and so far, they have caused a mass exodus of customers from these businesses.

Ace Hardware’s move to reverse their decision has seemingly confirmed that this counter-boycott has been successful. After all, it only took one week for the company to come crawling back to Laura Ingraham with its tail between its legs like a dog who bit the hand that feeds.

“The information we had at the time of the initial request was incomplete and we apologize for that,” a spokesperson for the hardware chain told The Wrap. “We purchase time slots that target our audience on over 30 cable networks and news programs including Fox News, CNBC, CNN, and MSNBC.”

“Advertising on any network or show, is in no way an endorsement from Ace of the content contained or spoken within that program,” added the company. “We appreciate the different points of view from our customers, and believe people should be treated with respect and civility. At this time, we have not altered our current media schedule; however, we regularly review our media strategy.”

Imagine that. A company which appreciates different points of view. The left was NOT happy to hear this.

As the mainstream media’s misguided infatuation with David Hogg continues into its second month, some of the largest advertisers in the country are finding out that their appeasement of teenage tyrants can have a real price. Ace Hardware apparently learned this lesson the hard way and decided to make things right before it was too late.

David Hogg and the liberals on Twitter may be pissed about this news, but realistically speaking, how much money are pussy hat-wearing feminists and soy latte-sipping hippies really spending at hardware stores? There’s a certain demographic of people who believe in blood, sweat, hard work, and getting their hands dirty, and it ain’t the demographic that follows David Hogg on Twitter.

Working class Americans are the ones spending their hard-earned paychecks at hardware stores, not snowflakes. When Ace Hardware joined Hogg’s boycott of Laura Ingraham’s program, the company quickly learned where its bread is buttered. They’ll do well to remember this lesson in the future the next time some little pissant tries to take down one of the most respected commentators in politics.
