Hogg Lies About Hero Who Stopped Shooting, Regrets It After Patriots Find Out

We haven’t heard from David Hogg in a long time, which was just as well, considering everytime he opens his mouth the collective intelligence of the population seems to drop a few IQ points. Hogg resurfaced this week, however, telling a blasphemous lie about the hero who stopped a mass shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas. When some gun-toting patriots found out, they made him regret his disrespectful move immediately.

A National Rifle Association video released earlier this week features Stephen Willeford, the armed citizen who stopped the November 2017 church shooting in Sutherland Springs, Texas. According to the NRA, the attack was the worst church shooting in American history.

Willeford, a former NRA instructor, was hailed a hero after engaging the shooter with his own rifle, effectively ending the massacre. In the 60-second clip, he recounts that the gunman “came out of the church, shooting at me. He hit the truck in front of me, hit the car behind me, and hit the house behind me.”

“And then I hit him,” Willeford says in the video.

But notorious anti-gun activist David Hogg was not impressed. In a tweet sent less than two hours after the original video was posted, Hogg alleged that Willeford and the NRA were just a bunch of liars because the Sutherland shooter ultimately took his own life.

“NRA LIE ALERT: The Sutherland Springs shooter died from self-inflicted gunshot wound’s (sic),” wrote Hogg.

Now, the Sutherland shooter did take his own life with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. But Willeford never claimed that he killed the assailant, only that he hit him. Apparently, the one-minute video was too long for Hogg to watch for accuracy.

Willeford did hit the shooter. When authorities found his body, there were three gunshot wounds. Had Willeford not confronted him, he undoubtedly would have gone on to take more lives. Thankfully, the good people of Twitter were quick to educate Hogg on that subject.

“Son, the fact that some other person was there to shut him down with an equivalent rifle was still a necessity no matter what bullet hit him,” wrote one Twitter user. “It stopped the thug from doing any more harm to anyone else. Live and learn son.”

“Disingenuous. Willeford didn’t say he killed the shooter, but hit him,” tweeted someone else. “The shooter left, and then shot himself. Either an attempt at manipulation from a propagandist, or failure to understand from an idiot.”

You’d think that Willeford’s bravery and ability to act quickly and accurately under pressure would be enough for anyone to commend him, no matter what side of the aisle they happen to be on. But not David Hogg. The simple fact that Willeford is a gun owner is enough for Hogg to demonize him, despite the fact that he saved an untold amount of lives during the Sutherland shooting.

This begs a very uncomfortable question for Hogg: How many lives has he saved? The last time I checked, it was still zero. In fact, you could definitely argue that his incessant lobbying for gun control measures, which he doesn’t even really understand, could be costing American lives in the long run.

If lawmakers, pushed by activists like Hogg, continue to make it harder and harder for law-abiding citizens to own and carry firearms, who will be there to stop the next mass shooting the way Stephen Willeford did?

Of course, the political left doesn’t like to talk about the violence which is stopped by responsible, legal gun owners. They only want to harp on the violence perpetrated by criminals and thugs.

They also won’t admit that further gun control measures, which would only make it harder for law-abiding citizens to arm themselves, would do absolutely nothing to stop gun violence. The madmen who perpetrate gun-related crimes aren’t following the law anyway.

Does anyone actually believe they would follow whatever gun restrictions are put in place at this point? Certainly not.

David Hogg ought to check himself the next time he thinks of taking on a bonafide hero. Or at least watch the whole damn video first.
