Rep. Ilhan Omar Mocks Pence’s Christian Faith, Americans Make Her Regret It

Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar thought she could troll Vice-President Mike Pence, mocking his devotion to his Christian faith. “Jesus Take the Wheel,” wrote Omar disrespectfully, along with a picture of the vice-president’s eyes closed, praying. That’s when angry Americans made the politician instantly regret laughing at Christianity. Don’t miss this.

Ilhan Omar is learning the hard way that being in Congress means everything you do is scrutinized. And it’s rather ironic that the devout Muslim would start making jokes about the biggest religion in the United States: Christianity.

Omar tweeted a picture of VP Mike Pence with his eyes closed and mocked him by writing, “Jesus Take the Wheel.” She also included the hashtag #BorderWall.

Breitbart reports, “The tweet was one of many mocking Pence’s apparent passivity during an Oval Office clash between President Donald Trump, incoming Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY). However, critics accused Omar of mocking Pence’s stalwart Christianity, and she offered no clarification.”

The Washington Times reported that conservative radio talk-show host Curt Schilling said anyone making fun of Ms. Omar’s faith would have been “publicly shamed into exile,” while the Federalist’s David Harsanyi asked, “I wonder what would happen if Pence made fun of Omar’s belief in Muhammad?”

Omar is one of the first two Muslim women elected to Congress. This is not the first time her tweets have drawn controversy. In 2012, the Minnesota Democrat tweeted that “Israel has hypnotized the world, may Allah awaken the people and help them see the evil doings of Israel. #Gaza #Palestine #Israel.”

Many people criticized Omar for her tweet and accused her of repeating old anti-Semitic ideas about Jews “deceiving” the world. Omar has refused to retract her Tweet and told ABC News during an interview this year that she is not anti-Semitic. Instead, it’s her critics who are the real bigots, she claims.

“These accusations are without merit. They are rooted in bigotry toward a belief about what Muslims are stereotyped to believe,” she said.

At Jihad Watch, Robert Spencer wrote: “Just imagine the establishment media uproar that would ensue if Pence had mocked Omar’s faith. But in this case, leftist ‘journalists’ will just join in with Omar and mock Pence themselves.”

Well, Americans were outraged. Gad Saad, a professor, wasn’t too impressed, tweeting to Omar, “Comes to US, mocks the religion and culture of her @VP (fair enough), and is probably the first to severely punish anyone who would dare to criticize her religion (if she had the power to mete out said punishment).”

Twitter user “Mizz” posted, “Can you imagine? I find this so offensive, everyone thinks it is ok to mock Christians and Jesus, I don’t see them doing it to Muslims. She is showing her true colors and her agenda.”

Even one man identifying himself as a “Middle Easterner” weighed in. Anwaad Alotabibi posted, “Welcome to the real face of #MuslimBrotherhood, they pretend that they are good people until they get what they want after that, their real face will appear. Nothing new for us in the Middle East we already know them. God help you in the west you have too much of them there.”

Mick Moore reminded Omar that we Christians in America are doing just fine. “Hey ignorant Omar, Jesus HAS the wheel. That’s why Donald Trump is in office, and Mike Pence is one heartbeat away. Dummkopf.”

Ilhan Omar has a deep hatred for Israel, and she seems to have a deep hatred for the border wall, which is interesting. What is it about the border wall and her need to mock Christianity have in common? The bigger picture of her possible hatred of the American culture.

If we have open borders and dilute the population too much, we will lose our American identity. Well, poor Ilhan. Israel has big border walls that work perfectly, and soon so will America. President Donald Trump, VP Mike Pence and those of us who support them are getting the last laugh.
