John Boehner has come forward with his endorsement for president, and it is going to leave a lot of people outraged. Boehner, who left Washington under duress, has no qualms about making a serious argument for a brokered convention, the last hope for John Kasich. However, it’s not Kasich that Boehner is endorsing. Instead, Boehner is speaking for the GOP establishment, and conservatives everywhere are very pissed off.
John Boehner is endorsing Paul Ryan who replaced him as Speaker of the House. Boehner is game playing, and the name of the game is “not so fast American people.” What else can it be? The American people are voting in the primaries, and thus far, there are only two candidates left with a chance for the nomination — Trump and Cruz.
Former House Speaker John Boehner Wednesday endorsed current House Speaker Paul Ryan to be the Republican presidential nominee. At the Republican convention, “anybody can be nominated,” Boehner said at a conference in Boca Raton, Fla.
“If we don’t have a nominee who can win on the first ballot, I’m for none of the above,” Boehner said. “They all had a chance to win. None of them won. So I’m for none of the above. I’m for Paul Ryan to be our nominee.” [via Politico]
If mature adults don’t start taking the reigns of the Republican party and a brokered convention happens, it will be the end to any chance of beating Hillary Clinton. That’s four years of Hillary appointing judges, that’s four years to lose our First and Second Amendment rights.
As Allen West warned this morning in a post titled “This will piss y’all off, but here’s what last night REALLY means,” this race needs Kasich to drop out:
“Let’s be honest, there are only two folks in the race on the GOP side: Trump and Cruz. But here’s my warning, and I don’t want to hear any of this crap about I will not vote if it’s not my guy. This started with 17 and now we are truly down to two.
My challenge to y’all is, are you in this for a person, or for our Republic, our nation, America?” [via Allen B. West]
Although Allen West does not say Trump, what he is saying is this: Anyone who is not intending on backing the will of the people, you need to check yourself. Plain and simple.
We will not survive to beat Hillary if this goes to a brokered convention, where back door deals are made in smoky rooms and a candidate will emerge that will piss off the American people.
