The winner of Kat Von D’s Instagram makeup contest was excited to learn that she had won a trip to the launch party of a new makeup line in Los Angeles. However, after it was learned who she had voted for, the Kansas woman was immediately got bad news.

Gypsy Freeman is a talented makeup artist and stylist who splits her time between Wichita and Florida. When she learned that Kat Von D, who is best known for her role on the television show “LA Ink,” was holding an Instagram makeup contest, she decided to enter with the help of a photographer friend.

The two women set about creating their entry materials, and ultimately, they won Kat Von D’s contest. However, the famed tattooist happened upon an earlier Instagram post from Freeman, which clearly indicated that she voted for President Donald Trump. That’s when things took a turn for the worse — and Freeman was disqualified by Kat Von D.

Contestant Gypsy Freeman (left) got bad news after Kat Von D saw one of her Instagram posts (right).

“My launch party [and my brand] celebrates many things that Trump is against,” Kat Von D told Freeman, according to screenshots. “And I just need you to know that I personally have a hard time with inviting anyone who would support such an anti-feminist, anti-homosexual/LGBT, anti-immigrant, and anti-climate change fascist such as Trump.”

According to the screenshots, Freeman replied, “I won’t be upset with you if you can’t have us there for these reasons, and I wish you the best. We would love to be there, of course, but I sincerely do understand if you decide to replace us with someone who supports the candidate you support.”

Kat Von D’s response was a shining example of the “tolerance” those on the liberal left often display. “It’s not about inviting people based on their political stance – it’s just extremely difficult (borderline impossible) for me to be friends with or associate with anyone who would support a man who goes against everything I stand for,” wrote Kat Von D. “I would feel the same way towards people who supported Hitler, or any other fascist.”

The winner of the Saint + Sinner Contest – and a guest – was to be flown to Los Angeles to attend the launch party of a new makeup line from Kat Von D, perhaps best known for her role on “LA Ink.” The approximate value of the prize package, which included a $500 gift card to Sephora, was $2,100.

To enter, Freeman submitted an Instagram image of an angelic figure beside a girl in an all-black outfit and thick mascara.

When Freeman was announced as the winner, curious Instagrammers went to her page and found a pro-Trump post from Election Day last year.

That evening, she received a direct message from Kat Von D’s personal Instagram account, telling her the celebrity had “drawn a personal line in the sand between myself and anyone who supports that man,” according to screenshots of the conversation. [Source: The Wichita Eagle]

Is it illegal to disqualify a person based upon their political beliefs? No. However, it is one of the most un-American things a company can do, as it flies in the face of our Constitution, which guarantees freedom of speech and expression.

If you’re one of the misguided leftists who supported Hillary Clinton and the things Kat Von D says she “stands for,” then you will probably continue to buy Kat Von D products. But, if you care at all about the values which make our country unique and the greatest in the world, you should stop giving this company your money.

Moreover, you should share Gypsy Freeman’s story, because we cannot count on the mainstream media to do so. No one should be discriminated against for their political views, especially by a large company which makes most of its profits in America, where Donald Trump is the president, whether the left likes it or not.
