Most of the country was made aware of the national hissy fit that leftists had after seeing Kellyanne Conway with her feet on a couch in the Oval Office. Unfortunately, things were just made so much worse as a Democrat decided to sexually harass the woman – and his sick comments have many saying that he needs to be fired immediately.
Mad World News previously reported on the bizarre situation as whining brats, yet again, made something out of nothing in a pathetically desperate attempt to attack Donald Trump. Of course, liberals didn’t seem to mind that they were making complete and utter fools of themselves and kept the ridiculous controversy going all day long.
Unfortunately, the situation was most recently made so much worse during the Nation Press Foundation Dinner in Washington, D.C. Although it’s customary for opposing parties to roast one another, there was at least one Democrat who took things entirely too far.
According to reports, Democratic Louisiana congressman Cedric Richmond and Republican Senator Tim Scott were both invited to speak. As Scott spoke first, everything went as was expected with him first downplaying the Kellyanne controversy by saying:
“Has anyone seen the controversy around Kellyanne Conway and the couch in the Oval Office? Come on, people. You remember the ’90s. That couch has had a whole lot of worse things. Come on now.”
Of course, he was referencing Bill Clinton and the dirty things he did in the White House, but things would soon take a disturbing turn. In fact, the typically comical comments crossed over the line of sexual harassment as Richmond took the mic:
“You even mentioned Kellyanne and the picture on the sofa. But I really just want to know what was going on there, because, I won’t tell anybody. And you can just explain to me that — that circumstance because she really looked kind of familiar there in that position there. But don’t answer. And I don’t want you to refer back to the ’90s.”
As one would imagine, the Democrat saying that Kellyanne “looked kind of familiar” on her knees was met with an uncomfortable audience filling the room with groans of disapproval.
Sadly, he’d only later make things worse by trying to justify his comments. When a reporter confronted Richmond on the lewd remarks, he shot back by saying, “Hey man, I just said she looked comfortable in that position. I can’t let Tim get away with making a Clinton joke without making one of my own.”
Of course, news quickly spread of Richmond’s attempt at being funny, resulting in some pretty serious backlash. In fact, Rep. Mike Kelly would later call the remarks unbecoming of a congressman before adding, “On the first day of Women’s History Month, it’s pretty sad to hear a sitting congressman say that about a woman who has made so much history.”
If this was a member of the GOP making such a comment, we wouldn’t hear the end of it. However, because a Democrat made the remarks, they’ll simply be swept under the rug and brushed off as acceptable.
The fact of the matter here is that this elected Democrat has shown exactly what he thinks of women and has some serious apologizing to do. Then again, quite a few people are calling for his resignation, so he might be in for a bit more than he bargained – and all for something this jerk thought was “funny.”
