As an off-duty policewoman and her 6-year-old daughter were preparing to check out, a snotty Kroger’s cashier and Black Lives Matter supporter decided to teach the poor officer a nasty lesson she’d never forget. However, as disgusting as the bratty employee’s actions were, their sniveling manager’s response is even more enraging.
Each time an officer of the law puts on their uniform and heads out the door, they understand that the career they’ve chosen comes with its risks. These men and women leave their families each day knowing their lives are at stake. In fact, they prepare for the inevitable danger that threatens them on a daily basis. What they don’t expect, however, is to leave their patrol and find that they must fight for the dignity that any decent human being deserves, regardless of their profession. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what one officer realized when she walked into her local grocery store.
When Sabrina Farace isn’t safeguarding the streets of Louisiana, she’s busy being a mother to her 6-year-old daughter. Unfortunately, this includes dealing with judgemental bigots who expect her to remain unbiased in her career, while they use their 9 to 5 jobs as political platforms against people like her.
On September 27, Farace gathered several items at a Kroger store in Alexandria, placing them on the counter for the cashier to scan. She told Blue Lives Matter that it was then that she had one of the most infuriating encounters of her career.
I handed her my Kroger member card and she reluctantly took it from my hands. After she took [the card] I was waiting for her to continue checking me out. She looked at me and with a rude tone she asked, “Are you on the force?” I stated, “Come again?” She asked again, rudely, “Are you on the force, are you a cop?” I stated, “Yes, ma’am, I am a cop.” She then looked at me and stated, “I can’t check you out, I have to go get my supervisor.”
Not knowing what to think, Farace waited for the cashier and her supervisor to return. Instead, the young girl came back and explained her unnecessarily nasty attitude.
I asked, “What’s the deal?” She replied, “I can not check you out because you are police officer and I can’t check you out because you are a cop and I have issues with the police right now.” At which I replied, “You have to be kidding me right?” She stated, “No, I am not.” I then stated, “If this is the case I would like to speak to your supervisor myself because this is unacceptable to treat a customer this way.”
At first, the manager told the cashier that she has to check out all customers. That quickly changed after Farace expressed her disapproval with such treatment. Upon telling the manager that he shouldn’t allow his employees to ask personal questions about their customers, much less refuse to serve them based on their job description, the manager caved to political correctness.
I said, if you condone this kind of behavior and discrimination I’m sure the media would love to know how you allow employees to treat customers this way for wearing a police supporting shirt and being a police officer.
He replied, well that’s not nice to threaten me to call the media and I guess I’ll just call Cooper. I told him that he could call whoever he wanted because I did not work for Cooper. He began telling me that she explained to him that she had problems with the police.
Farace, who has been a customer of Kroger for over 15 years, expressed her disdain for such bigotry and vowed to boycott the business, at least until she hears an official response. So far, Blue Lives Matter reports that a Kroger corporate manager was informed of the incident and told Farace that he would call her back in a day or so. Of course, it’s been 2 weeks since they told her this, and she still hasn’t heard from them.
The hypocrisy with these anti-police “activists” is absolutely appalling. Imagine what would happen if the cashier was a white girl who refused to serve a Black Lives Matter supporter. She’d immediately be branded a racist and the mainstream media would have full coverage of the event. Or, even better, imagine what would happen if the roles were reversed and a police officer refused to assist a Black Lives Matter supporter like this entitled cashier.
The root of the problem is that this employee, like the entire BLM movement, has a problem with authority and was easily swayed by the anti-police campaign’s propaganda. While entitled brats like her are protesting police brutality, which accounts for less than 1 percent of blacks killed, they turn a blind eye to the 91 percent of blacks murdered by other blacks.
It’s true that black bodies are piling up in the streets, but it’s not due to law enforcement or racism. It’s undeniable that the BLM movement was created not to reduce the number of blacks killed, as it’s been proven that less policing equals more black deaths, but to disband our law enforcement so that the thugs can run amok.
