An epic video has surfaced out of Las Vegas, Nevada, where a sin-city “bad boy” refused a cop’s polite request to drop a baseball bat that he was using to threaten people. Now, the clip has gone viral after the punk’s bad decision ended in painful and instant regret.
Just like that old hit TV show “Cops,” which usually featured live footage from heroic crime fighters around the country, a video from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is rocking the internet because one “bad boy” didn’t know what he was “gonna do” when the boys in blue showed up to put a stop to his thuggish behavior. I love to see the bad guys get taken to school on the pain train, and this video clip is definitely a crowd pleaser.
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were called to a convenience store to confront a baseball bat wielding thug. When cops arrived, they found 54-year-old Richard Mitchell holding a baseball bat and standing next to his vehicle which was parked just outside the store’s front door.
In the video clip, which was also uploaded to LiveLeak, 39-year-old Sgt. Miguel Garcia, a 16-year veteran of the force, can be seen with his gun aimed at the suspect as he politely and calmly asks Mitchell to drop the baseball bat. Now, because Mitchell is as stupid as the day is long, he does the opposite and continues to brandish the baseball bat and taunt the well-mannered officer.
Sgt. Garcia’s demeanor was professional and steady as he tried to convince Mitchell to drop the bat and have a peaceful conversation. That’s when Mitchell decided to unleash his inner “NFL thug” and start wildly swinging the bat at the store’s windows. Mitchell wanted to act like a self-entitled degenerate, so the cops obliged him and shot him with a beanbag gun. Mitchell can be heard in the clip screaming as he was hit several times.
You would think that anyone in their right mind would lay the bat down and comply after being shot with the beanbag gun — but not Mitchell. Perhaps this idiot was told that Colin Kaepernick would visit him in prison or maybe he was trying to commit suicide by cop. Whatever his reasons, Mitchell decided to run back inside the store and was instantly shot by Sgt. Garcia, and rightfully so. After watching the clip, I think there were four shots fired, and Mitchell was struck at least once.
The body cam footage comes to an end after a team of officers is seen rushing the suspect and putting him in handcuffs. Mitchell could be seen laying on the floor of the convenience store like an idiot. Wouldn’t it have been easier to lay the bat down and surrender? I’m sure it won’t be long before Mitchell’s family is interviewed on some mainstream media station to tell everyone what a good guy he is and that he would never have hurt anyone.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Assistant Sheriff Todd Fasulo briefed reporters on the incident Wednesday, December 13, 2017. Fasula said that officers were searching Saturday for Mitchell in connection with two attempted robberies that had occurred in a 3-to-5-mile radius of the Terrible’s gas station at 1591 N. Decatur Blvd.
Fasulo also told reporters that Mitchell was confronted at approximately 10:40 a.m. after officers observed his dark green Honda at the gas station. The thug was only shot after he brandished the silver baseball bat and didn’t surrender after non-lethal force, the beanbag gun, was used.
Mitchell got exactly what he deserved. Maybe next Sunday, the professional kneelers in the NFL can take a knee for him as he sits in jail for his criminal behavior. He may even get a special visit from some washed up former quarterback whoring around our prison facilities for attention.
The police officers seen in this video did an outstanding job of taking out the trash. They risk their lives on a regular basis to put punks like this where they belong.
Next time you see a cop, be sure to thank them for protecting law-abiding Americans from scum like Mitchell. If liberals succeed in undermining our nation’s trust in the law-enforcement community, there may come a day where we have to deal with trash like Mitchell on our own, and that is going to be a messy business.
