Liberal Judge Who Wore ‘Pussy Hat’ To Court Just Got Some VERY BAD NEWS

Travis County Judge Sarah Eckhardt began her session on January 24 by pulling on a pink knitted “pussy hat” in solidarity with the Women’s March protesters who opposed Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Travis County Judge Sarah Eckhardt began her session on January 24 by pulling on a pink knitted cap synonymous with the Women’s March on Washington that had taken place days earlier in protest of Donald Trump’s presidency. Unfortunately for her, after her political stunt gained national attention, she got some very bad news.

Unfortunately, there are too many judges who allow their personal biases to dictate decisions they make in the courtroom. Commitment to the Constitution over commitment to a political agenda is sorely lacking within the U.S. judicial system. Most judges, however, do not have the audacity to put their political preferences on full display by, say, wearing a “pussy hat” in their courtroom. Unfortunately, Travis County Judge Sarah Eckhardt isn’t most judges.

When local residents caught wind of her “pussy-hat” wearing display that occurred just over a week ago, they immediately contacted Texas authorities, who in turn have launched an investigation into whether or not the judge’s behavior is appropriate for the courtroom.

“Seems inappropriate to put your personal political beliefs on display as a judge,” commented one person who saw a photo of Eckhardt in her pussy hat. “It’s about being unbiased, not professional. Imagine if tomorrow she had to rule over a case of a Women’s March participant who punched a conservative whoever.”

This is not the first time Eckhardt has allowed personal biases to cloud her judgment in the courtroom, either.

In June of last year, Eckhardt used a naturalization ceremony to attack Donald Trump, the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, and the death penalty. At one point during the ceremony, the judge urged the newly sworn citizens to register to vote so they could vote against Donald Trump. Her bald attempt to politicize the ceremony rankled some participants.

In October of 2015, Eckhardt met with activists for illegal aliens who were seeking help to quash a lawsuit filed by the state of Texas against the Obama administration over its executive amnesty program that would allow up to five million illegal aliens to remain in the United States without fear of deportation.

Also in October, Eckhardt insisted that the state’s lawsuit was only being waged by “those who wish to play politics with peoples’ lives” and that Travis County’s economy was a success only because it is “built on immigration.” [Source: Breitbart]

For now, Judge Eckhardt is in the clear because, in Travis County, the job of “County Judge” is an elected position. According to KVUE, the winner of the election oversees the commissioners court and is in many ways a commissioner themselves. Similar to a City Council and mayor relationship, the County Judge acts as the head of the Commissioners and county government.

If local residents want to see change, they will have to error their grievances at the ballot box come election time. That’s actually bad news for Eckhardt since we’ve recently seen how quickly liberal rhetoric bites politicians in the backside during an election, as President Donald Trump’s historic victory so effectively proved. However, until then, Judge Eckhardt can wear her pussy hat as she pleases, and may God be with the conservative who enters her courtroom.
