VIDEO: Man Rushes To Store To Get Generator, Shocks All After What He Spots Woman Doing

As Florida braces for Hurricane Irma’s unwelcome arrival, people are scrambling to either get out or prepare for impact. When one man rushed to the store to grab a generator, his day took an unexpected turn when he spotted what a woman was doing, and what he did, in turn, left everyone around him in shock.

Soon after Ramon Santiago heard that Hurricane Irma was heading towards Florida, he knew that he needed to get to Lowes and get a generator before they were all sold out. Once he finally got to the store, he was lucky enough to grab one of the last generators on the shelf and begin to make his way to the counter.

However, before he got far, he spotted what another shopper was doing and immediately felt his gut churn. What he did next left everyone in shock.

To his dismay, Ramon saw the woman, who was later identified as Pam Brekke, breaking down in tears right in the middle of the aisle. Come to find out, she had rushed to the store to get a generator as well but was completely devastated when they were all gone. Ramon, being the good man that he is, left everyone stunned over what he did next – he gave her his generator.

According to Love What Matters, Pam’s father is on oxygen and desperately needs the generator to keep him alive should the hurricane leave them without electricity. How she responded to Ramon’s generosity and kindness was remarkably captured on video and has left people all across the Internet with goosebumps.

This Is Central Florida

"THIS IS CENTRAL FLORIDA:Pam Brekke's father is on oxygen. She ran into Lowe's and we watched her breakdown in tears when she realized she had just missed the last generator. A total stranger, Ramon Santiago, saw her too. He walked up and insisted she take his. This was her reaction.Writing this through tears and with a heart full of pride for my community." ❤️#LoveWhatMattersCredit: Nancy Alvarez, WFTV

She hugged him as tight as a child does after their parent rescues them from a nightmare. When their long embrace came to an end, Pam can be heard saying, “Thank you,” to Ramon and looking directly into the camera of the person recording and said what we’re all thinking: “That’s a beautiful man right there.” She’s then seeing grabbing the cart with the generator and beginning to walk off.

Hurricane Irma’s strength is projected to leave at least parts of Florida without power. Ramon undoubtedly saved Pam’s father’s life by acting like a decent human being and giving her something she needed far more than him. Sometimes, we run into people who only care about themselves and their own circumstances, but thankfully, God was in the store that day and answered Pam’s prayers through Ramon.

After Ramon’s kindness, Nancy Alvarez, a news anchor at WFTV, has recently announced that the station is “working on getting Ramon a generator,” according to her Facebook post. Hopefully, he’s rewarded for the kind gesture that he offered a complete stranger.

People are awestruck by this man’s generosity, especially during a time of great chaos and fear. “My heart is so filled with love. This man is so selfless. He will be rewarded because good karma always returns the favor. God bless him,” one user wrote while another said, “Thank you for blessing her and helping her when she needs it the most…this is humanity wow you are so amazing may you be blessed with everything you deserve may you never want for nothing and thank you again for showing such compassion.”

Perhaps this is God’s way of using a tragedy to show all Americans how to be kind to one another. Good can always be found in the world, but sometimes you need to look a little deeper to find it. Just because we constantly hear about all of the hate and sin of the world doesn’t mean that there isn’t still good in it.

Regardless of how you’re being treated or what’s going on around you, just remember the verse from Deuteronomy 31:6: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
