Crazy ‘Aunt’ Maxine is in panic mode today, and it’s all because a conservative reporter tweeted a photo that caught her red-handed. The liberal Congresswoman from California dropped a whopping $10,000 on one item, and it’s something that will definitely piss you off.
A Federal Election Commission report of receipts and disbursements released this month exposes Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) for the swindling cheat that she is. Apparently, the California Congresswoman paid more than $10,000 for tickets to the Broadway show “Hamilton” and wrote it off as a “fundraiser expense.” The Daily Beast reporter Lachlan Markay tweeted out an image of the tax filing on Monday, drawing attention to Waters’ questionable campaign spending.

Citizens for Waters paid for the tickets on August 26. The House campaign committee, which is based in the 43rd District of California, raised a total of $954,948 in 2016 but spent $1.05 million to get Waters re-elected, according to Inside Gov. Waters, one of the most vocal opponents of President Donald Trump and a leader in the movement to impeach him, has been a member of Congress since 1991.
“Hamilton” creator Lin-Manuel Miranda has been linked to various Democratic and progressive causes in the past, and the cast of the musical infamously addressed Vice President Mike Pence when he attended a performance just after the election. As the play ended and Pence was on his way out of the auditorium, the actor who played Vice President Aaron Burr, Brandon Victor Dixon, acknowledged that Pence was in the audience, and said, “We hope you will hear us out.”
Pence stood in the hallway outside the entrance to the auditorium and listened to the entirety of what Dixon said next. “We, sir — we — are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights,” said Dixon, according to The New York Times. “We truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us,” added the actor.

Given the background on this Broadway play, it’s certainly no surprise to hear that Maxine Waters is a huge fan. However, it’s one thing to spend her own money on the best seats in the house; it’s entirely another to be shelling out thousands of campaign dollars on such, then writing it off as a “fundraiser.”
Of course, if Waters were a conservative, the IRS would have been all over this. However, Democrats are apparently allowed to write off anything at all without repercussion or even so much as a second glance by authorities. The double-standard is alarming, to say the least.
This is just the latest of Waters’ indecent acts. With the next election just around the corner, she is being challenged by hometown conservative Omar Navarro, and this time around, she may need to spend more than $1.05 million if she wants a shot at beating him. Indeed, her constituents are growing tired of her antics, as it seems the only thing she’s good at is spending their tax dollars recklessly, without offering anything at all in return.
