Maxine: Trump’s Very Racist To Want Immigrants To Speak English, Regrets It

Maxine Waters is back again making headlines as she trashes President Donald Trump’s new immigration plan which is merit-based. The president announced that part of the new plan would require immigrants to learn English. That caused the 80-year-old Democrat to flip out and accuse Trump of being “very racist” over wanting immigrants to learn our language. Well, she was made to regret it. You’ll love this.

Rep. Maxine Waters lambasted President Trump’s immigration plan and labeled portions of it “very racist.”

“There should be comprehensive immigration reform and not immigration reform that is based on exciting and inciting those people who have negative thoughts about others coming across our border and basically working to use that information to promote himself in a campaign,” Waters said during an interview with CNN Friday morning. “And I think some of that is very racist. It is not keeping with what this country is supposed to be all about.”

President Trump rolled out his new immigration plan on Thursday, and it calls for a “merit-based” system which demands future immigrants to learn English and already be financially self-sufficient before they come to the United States. They also would be forced to pass a civics exam.

When the CNN host asked Mad Maxine what part of the immigration plan was “very racist,” she claimed to make it mandatory to learn English “was racist.”

This business about you must speak English, we’re going to give you points for speaking English,” Waters said. “We don’t want poor people, we only want those people who are earning substantial wages already. All of those things are not keeping in step with the way that we treat human beings.”

Trump signaled that Democrats wouldn’t get on board with the proposal on Thursday, but he said that he would try to get it passed after the 2020 elections in the event that Republicans regain control of the House.

“If for some reason, possibly political, we can’t get the Democrats to approve this merit-based, high-security plan, then we will get it approved immediately after the election, when we take back the House, keep the Senate, and of course, hold the presidency,” Trump said. “But wouldn’t it be nice to do it sooner than that?”

Members of Trump’s own party have cast doubt on whether the proposal could be passed, including Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina who said that the proposal is “not designed to become law.” However, Americans are backing Trump’s proposal and letting Wacky Waters know she’s the one out of line.

“She’s out of touch, but I digress. Think for a minute. Why wouldn’t we require people to speak English? Everything we do here involves English… our society is based on English. It’s silly to say that it’s racist. Just another race baiting game by desperate Democrats,” tweeted “Notorious Bob.”

“Racist because Trump approves of it, oh yeah… blah blah blah. I’m surprised she didn’t say impeach Trump because of this new racist immigration policy,” tweeted “Lorenzo.”

“Per Auntie Maxine, anything not matching her limited world view is racist. Don’t engage ideas, shut down debate with calling names. The queen of corrupt smugness,” tweeted Ralph Dennison.

This type of immigration plan is used in Canada and Sweden and is extremely effective. In fact, when the United States had an influx of European immigrants between 1900-1925, we had strict guidelines. All immigrants had to pass a medical exam, had to have a family sponsor them so they would not be a burden to society, and had to learn English to survive in any job.

Immigrants back then knew if they did not assimilate, they would not make it in America. The result was all the Irish, Italian, Polish, and German immigrants who contributed greatly to building America. Now, we have illegals rushing our border knowing they will be “caught” and “released” into our communities which has led to increased poverty, violence, and major crimes.

President Trump is right. As much as I like Senator Lindsey Graham, he can’t be trusted on immigration. Graham backs the Chamber of Commerce crowd of GOP elites who want to drive wages down. Trump’s plan is to drive wages up, and that’s why those GOP elites hate this immigration plan.

The Democrats hate it because they know if we invest in a merit-based system, we will get immigrants who are smart enough to back Trump’s economic agenda, and they will lose all those voters. Too bad for Mad Maxine, she’s pushing 81-years-old, and it’s high time she hangs it up. Her record in her own district is atrocious, and Waters has no business telling anyone how to govern.
