Senator John McCain betrayed his fellow Americans and his political party, in particular, when he voted against the GOP’s health care bill on Friday. Now, he is being called a “Benedict Arnold,” and it is only getting worse as it has since been revealed that he met with someone very suspect right before casting the vote which saved Obamacare.
Americans have been suffering for seven long years under Obamacare, which has caused premiums and deductibles to skyrocket so high that the supposed “affordable healthcare reform” is not just unaffordable but a massive burden on middle-class families nationwide.
On Friday, lawmakers had a chance to right the sinking ship by repealing the dreadful legislation which has left so many families broke after buying costly insurance that actually provides little to no real coverage, without insurance altogether, or in a situation where they lost their doctor, even though former President Barack Obama promised they would not.
It looked hopeful that the Senate would pass an Obamacare repeal, and Vice President Mike Pence was even brought in to deliver a tie-breaking vote, as it was expected that the Republicans would have just the 50 votes needed. However, John McCain stepped in to ruin the day, letting everyone down with his deceitful move, and President Trump, along with millions of Americans, was rightfully livid.
During the vote on Friday on the ‘Skinny Repeal’ of Obamacare, it was expected that Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Sen Susan Collins would vote against it.
But what came as the surprising vote was the ‘no’ from Sen. John McCain.

While Republicans were blindsided by McCain’s treacherous vote, it appears that the Democrats knew he would be siding with them all along. While he left the GOP in the dark regarding his vote, McCain made sure the Democrats could rest easy knowing that he would not destroy their precious Obamacare.
McCain was spotted speaking with Minority Leader Chuck Schumer before the vote, and afterward, the Democrat leader was left smiling. Schumer later stated, “I knew it when he walked on the floor,” and revealed that McCain had called him earlier to let him know his plan.

John McCain is a RINO and always has been. This is the number one reason he lost the race for the White House in 2008 and we got stuck with Obama. Americans do not want someone who is “Republican In Name Only” serving in Washington, D.C., when a true conservative would be doing everything possible to deliver us from Obamacare, not holding backroom meetings with the Democrats to ensure the legislation’s survival.
John McCain has been in Washington far too long. Indeed, he makes an excellent argument for term limits. He may be a war hero, but it’s been a long time since this politician has actually fought for the values held by most Americans.
