Meghan McCain Says “I Hate This Country,” Fed-Up Patriots Strike Back

Meghan McCain is hardly a good conservative, but over the weekend, she officially went way too far, claiming that she “hates this country.” However, it didn’t take long for some very fed-up patriots to make her regret her incendiary comment.

It was clear at the late Sen. John McCain’s various funeral services that his daughter Meghan was having a difficult time dealing with her father’s death. She even lashed out at President Donald Trump in her eulogy, saying, “John Sidney McCain III was many things. He was a sailor, he was an aviator, he was a husband, he was a warrior, he was a prisoner, he was a hero, he was a congressman, he was a senator, he was nominee for president of the United States.”

“These are all of the titles and roles of a life that’s been well-lived. They’re not the greatest of his titles nor the most important of his roles,” she continued before taking this shot at Trump: “He was a great man. We gather to mourn the passing of American greatness, the real thing, not cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice, those that live lives of comfort and privilege while he suffered and served.”

“The America of John McCain is generous and welcoming and bold,” Meghan added. “She’s resourceful, confident, secure. She meets her responsibilities. She speaks quietly because she’s strong. America does not boast because she has no need to. The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again because America was always great.”

Months later, Meghan apparently still has not come to terms with her father’s death. In fact, it appears that she has allowed bitterness to consume her, so much so that she hates the country now that her father isn’t in it.

“As an American, I hate this country without him in it,” the 34-year-old said during an appearance on CNN’s The Van Jones Show over the weekend. “I know that sounds awful. I don’t hate America, but I just hate it without his leadership. I’m very — I’m sad all the time. And I’m struggling with that sadness, and I miss him in ways that I never even could have fathomed.”

Of course, everyone has to say goodbye to their parents at some point or another. The rational people among us take our time to grieve and find a way to move on with our lives. Meghan McCain, on the other hand, lashes out at a country which has given her more than most people can even dream of. The level of self-importance and ungratefulness is astonishing.

Patriotic social media users were having none of it. One Facebook user commented, “Like I used to tell my students at dismissal time, ‘You are free to go.’ I lost my father at age 13. He was a WWII veteran and an honorable man, but it didn’t make me hate America.”

“News flash; many of us hated this world with [John McCain] in it. Turned his back on repealing Obamacare after screaming how bad it was! Hypocrite,” wrote another.

If Meghan McCain hates America so much now that her father has passed away, she should move somewhere else. There are tons of nations to choose from, but none of them offer the same level of freedom and opportunity like this one. If she chooses to stay here, however, at the very least, she should show the president some support. He’s doing more for this country than she has ever done as an annoying, out-of-touch host on daytime television.
