Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, wasn’t the only one to have a wardrobe malfunction at Harry’s friend’s wedding. In fact, poor Prince Harry’s “shoe shocker” has Queen Elizabeth II reeling at Balmoral Castle. As Meghan sports 22k gold shades and dons only the most expensive designer clothes, her out of control spending has Harry dressing like a pauper. Her Majesty is striking back, and Meghan doesn’t like it one bit.
Meghan Markle, now known as the Duchess of Sussex, is in hot water, again. The former American actress is already getting tired of her royal duty and constraints, and she’s been spending Harry’s money like there is no tomorrow.
The Duchess has also been pulling stupid stunts after learning the Queen never really approved her quicky marriage to Prince Harry. William dated Kate for over six years before they got married, and Harry’s 15-month long-distance relationship with Meghan was considered no time at all to really get to know her, let alone marry her.
Meghan’s 37th birthday was marked by no palace bash. Instead, Harry served as an usher at his good friend’s wedding, and he left Meghan to arrive alone. She showed up wearing 22k gold sunglasses and left her top button undone on the designer “Club Monaco” shirtdress, showing off her black lacy bra.
Of course, the paparazzi went nuts. Forget about saying the former Suit’s star had no idea about her dress. This was her birthday, and only last year she was being wooed by Harry at his infamous romantic get-away in Botswana. We know from Meghan’s now-defunct blog, “The Tig,” she was big on her birthday, and the Royals made the Duchess upset by not making a big deal of it.
Penning the post back in 2016, Meghan wrote: “My mom has always said that birthdays are your own personal New Year. Your own chance to make resolutions just for yourself and what you prognosticate for your year ahead.” Her birthday wish? She reveals: “More surprises, more adventure, more opportunities to grow, more days filled with giggles and cheeky jokes, more delicious meals, and more inspiration. Always more inspiration.”
Cheeky jokes? Now, we Americans don’t use this expression. It just goes to show that Meghan, who in August 2016 had just met Harry, was already laying it on thick in her quest to snag Harry. Which brings us to poor Prince Harry’s “shoe shocker,” and why the Queen and many Brits are blaming Meghan.
The Daily Mail reports, “The Duke of Sussex was best man to his childhood friend Charlie van Straubenzee at his wedding to party videographer Daisy Jenks at the weekend. A few eagle-eyed revelers also noticed the big hole on the bottom of his left shoe.”
To non-royals, this may be seen as no big deal. But it was Meghan’s antics that led to the quitting of Harry’s private secretary who would have ensured His Royal Highness’ shoes were tip top.
Edward Lane Fox, quit over Meghan’s haughty attitude, as she refused to take his advice regarding how to handle her father and her extended family. Palace insiders say that when Mr. Fox departed this summer, he warned Harry, saying, “It’s [Meghan’s bad press] hurting the Royal Family, and especially your grandmother.”
The Queen is striking back, tired of Meghan’s shenanigans. First, the Queen has ordered Meghan to be kept away from the press. Page Six reports, “A royal correspondent is claiming journalists are being kept at a distance from Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle during official engagements so that they can’t overhear any remarks that might breach royal protocol.”
Secondly, the British Monarch has ordered Harry and Meghan to Balmoral where the Duchess will face the music. Queen Elizabeth II was shocked to learn since joining the Royal Family, the former American actress is costing her 40% more than she spent on William, Kate, their kids, and Harry in 2016.
Figures show that the amount the Queen spends on funding the activities of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry increased by 40 percent when a certain 36-year-old Suits actress arrived on the scene, Britain’s Telegraph newspaper reports.
Her Majesty paid $6.5 million for Prince Harry, Prince William, and Kate last year, compared with the previous year’s $4.6 million — an increase of about $1.88 million.
Now, Meghan’s PR team scrubbed her previous net worth, along with scrubbing her entire resume of any sleazy gigs, right after she met Harry. They embellished saying she is worth 5 million dollars. But that just doesn’t add up.
Now, she is costing the Monarchy almost 2 million a year. Palace insiders say the Queen, who is very frugal since her World War II days, will be reading Meghan the riot act as she puts a cap on her out of control spending. Let’s hope so, we hate to see her grandson taken as a fool. We bet Harry won’t have to worry about holes in his shoes in the future, but we aren’t as optimistic about his marriage to Meghan Markle.
